Bought a new 05 Vector which I still have
24K miles
I'm looking to buy either a

SMA-8FC63-DX-00 PREMIUM COMBINATION TRUNK BAG

or a

SMA-8HG73-20-00 COMBINATION TRAIL LUGGAGE

Does anybody have either of these and can comment on them?

It doesn't really matter how cool they do or don't look, my question is which one has more pure storage space? I will assume that both are very durable.

These will go on my 2014 Vector LTX and are needed in 2 weeks for a bag trip.

I prefer the first one (premium combination). Mind you I do a little repairing to it every season
.Wow...quite the lineup of sleds!

Why do you prefer it when you have to repair it every season? What do you have to repair?

I have a set of (deleted brand) saddle/trunk combo bags that are 15 years old and don't have a rip, tear or anything in them. I use them an average of 1X per year.

I am usually overpacked. I usually make little improvements to it to. Last year I sewed in reinforcing coat hanger wire which seemed to help. I also use SkiDoo luggage cleats for easier mounting and removal, its only a matter of time before the Yamaha buckle breaks in the bitter cold. When leading a group that big someone always has saddlebag attrition issues. I try hard not to be that person. That COLDWAVE bag kit I bought with my first Apex GT was tossed in the trash in Saint Raymond after only ~26 miles.

There is one Switchback 800 in that photo. Nice sled, but he likes our Apexes.

I have the Trail Luggage. Works well for overnighters. No issues with it.
The other Trunk Bag is bigger.

Do you have a picture of a Doo luggage cleat? I Googled it and came up with different things.

I don't think I take near the amount of bag trips you do! :)

So you say the premium is bigger? Stuff one or two more midlayers in bigger?

As I only have the Trail Combo its hard to know how much bigger. Last year on our TY trip a member had the Premium. Wow did he have stuff in there!
It was more than I carry. I carry extra gloves and a sweater in the trunk, use a Premium Tank Bag with the map holder and the windshield bag. All this holds what I need for day trips.
If we plan a cookout somewhere or an overnighter then I strap the Trail Bag on for the extras.

Ordered the 8FC63 premium combo today. Thanks for all the help!
