Looking for some info on my snowblower. Id like to change the transmission oil in it. My manual does not show how, it just tells me how to add oil. Its a YT624EDJ Also says to use "Diesel engine oil 10W-30, Class CD or higher"
Any help would be appreciated.

Leave it to Yamaha to put a transmission on a snowblower, lol. I'm sorry, I just had to do that. My lowly Snapper has a flywheel on a plate to move it, nothing nearly as sophisticated as a trasmission.

Had no luck with a Google search, which is rare.
Maybe it is just like my Honda lawnmower, the fill/empty hole is the same, you just have to tip it on it's side to change it?
Crazy eh! Found a service manual, should have it after xmas.
But its a great unit. One of the best purchases I've made.

We have a yamaha that my grandfather bought back in '84. I couldn't believe it when I saw they brought them back last fall. Ours is near 30 years old, starts I'd say 2nd pull, decent on gas and will throw snow like no other blower i've seen from Crappy Tire. However ours has the plate and wheel setup as well so I can't help you on gear oil.
Funny thing is, when I saw the price tag, my father said the one we have was about the same price back then! Guess my grandpa had coin lol

CD specification is an out dated spec. Use shell rotella t 10w30. Meets and exceeds CD spec.
