Yamaha SRX 120

I think it's cool. I showed my little guy this pic and he liked it, said he wants his 120 blue now.

Btw all, the Polaris and Cat 120's are the same, have been for years. Little 120 Suzuki motors. This is not bad for Yamaha by any stretch.

But as someone pointe out earlier, I bet it be pricey.

Guess we will know tomorrow if it is true. If it is than I will be looking forward to buying a Procross F1050. A new Cat with the Nytro engine would be awesome!

Sorry I just kind of think it's silly to call it a SRX, maybe a SRV but not a SRX. Icon to toy in one year.

So this is why I heard Yamaha was in talks with Cat. I read it a few weeks ago on HCS. What took them so long. They could of done that 10 years ago.

I just hope it doesnt have a $2999.00 price tag! Im certain that the cat Z120 has been running the same Yamaha 123cc motor...not a Suzuki motor!

Unfortunate your information is incorrect. Polaris has always run a Robin motor, and A/C was already using the yamaha motor in its 120 prior to this year as their contract with Suzuki was up. So it was an easy trade off for Yamaha to get the Chassis from A/C.

I'm with Bottlerocket on Yamaha using the the Procross chassis.....Would look good in Bright red & Yamaha blue, if you like blue! That would get me to buy a new Yamaha again & quick!!!

Huh.... since '09 they've been supplying engines. I didn't know that. We'll I'm in no hurry to check out the 2013 line-up of BNG on the 2012 sleds.

Not me. I've got 2 Snosports sitting in the garage over 20 years old, and both will still run circles around the new 120's.

Yamaha must be worried about liability with a 3/4 sled, but can tell you that my kids have never ever run the Sport beyond their ability (of course, they all received a little talk from me about being safe). My youngest is 6, and has no problems riding the Sport.

I found a guy in Sweden who has started making brand new tracks for the Sport (same specs as the OEM track) and is selling them at $450 USD. So I'm either gonna buy a new track for one of my Sports (the only one that really needs replacing) or do a complete build. Something REALLY wild.

Either way, I'm not gonna wait for Yamaha anymore.
