Im thinking of putting a R1 pipe on my phazer but was just wondering what years of R1's will fit?
Mine is of an 08 so 07/08 will work and maybe the 09, the 07/08 are the same.

I would like to get a little more power out of my '07 and the easiest thing would be the exhaust. I notice alot of people putting street bike pipes on them, my main concern is there any recorded proof that doing so increases power and not just noise? I'm not looking to be louder just faster.

mine isnt much louder just deeper. just the weight savings alone makes it more than worth it.

Thats the great thing about a snowmobile. If conditions are the same such as a river with light snow and you pull more speed and rpm at wfo after a change there is no doubt you gained power.Clutch is your dyno.I havent tried a streetbike exhaust but have tried alot of different combinations of the Aaen pipes both single and dual, discs, quietcores, open and the UltraQ all made some amount of power BUT the power was = to noise.More noise=more power. The small amount of power made by the quieter exhausts was not worth the cost of admission.More needs to be done for those of us who are going within 20ft of houses at 1:00am.When the lights turn on when you go by its not hard to figure out what is going to happen next. But for those who can run a louder exhaust that extra 7-10mph is sure nice!

I'd strap anything on back there to eliminate the 20 lb stocker.
