Yellow triangle light?

My buddy has an 05 RX1 and he just fired it up for the first time this year and the yellow/orange triangle warning light immediately came on and never shut off. There are no other codes flashing, just the light. He doesn't have the manual. Can anyone clue me in as to what the light might indicate?

That is warning light. My guess is low fuel. When that light comes on it should be accompanied by a symbol such as engine symbol or gas tank symbol. Usually the low fuel warning will come on when you drop to 2 bars on the fuel gauge

how long did you let it run, light stays on until it gets up to operating temperature

It stays on accompanied with the engine icon in the cluster

Was the oil level checked?

I have yet to hear of the lights just staying on, they typically flash a code. My guess would be the self-diagnosis is malfunctioning and you may need to replace the CDI unit.
