With snow already falling in the higher elevations, I figured it was time to get the sleds out from hibernation.
I LOVE Yamahas!
I pumped the old gas out, put new in, and turned the key. The Apex fired up as if it had been only sitting for 10 minutes, not 6 months!!
What a bullet proof, reliable and trustworthy brand. We got out of snowmobiling due to constant mechanical issues, including not restarting after storage (corroded relay on a one year old sled) and decided to go with the "stereotype" of die hard Yamaha reliability.
Im truly impressed.
And it always cracks me up that the other brands are excited with 2500 miles on a motor. I got 900 miles on a NEW '09 before failure. So what did I do? I bought a 7 year old sled with 1100 miles and feel as if its as reliable as my truck! Too cool.
Just a little excited vent session since I just started the Ol Boy!

I have 7500 ish miles on my 07 apex and I just "assume" it will start when I'm ready to bring it in the shop for cleaning. That is a great feeling! I haven't touched it since spring so we'll see.
Let's ride!
