What kind of season was it for you?

It was one of the better ones for me in CNY. We got about 4 weeks of in late Decempber, early January. One weekend I did 600 miles. Overall I clocked about 1200 in on the now traded nytro with the last two rides up on Tug hill. I was happy. I am however looking forward to easier days on the shoulders on my new Viper RTX. We will see.

Had best season in a long time over 2300 km . Missed 3 weekend rides but gain the 3 during the week this year . Favorite rides were bobcaygen to Casio Rama in Orillia and bancroft to Whitney to Barry's bay loop. Hope for the same next season !!!!

Had some great rides this year and should get a couple more in before year is up. Frustrating one though as I had major skidframe problems (broken parts) and my exhaust cracked again (6000 Miles on sled). Parts are at the welder as we speak. I think if you ride any kind of rough terrain with an older (not sure if new are any better) Apex a different skid is mandatory. :o| Viper in my future I think.

This was our first 'proper'year of sledding as we're imports from England, learning the fun of sledding.
I probably put 500 miles on the Venture with no issues. The wife has now got an '02 Polaris Classic 700 and this probably had about 300 miles put on it since the beginning of Jan. She managed to hit a snowbank wrong, get thrown off and get her foot in the track, so that stopped her riding for a few weeks.
Thankfully, no broken bones and all good now.

Awesome season for me (and in my case a "season" means 1 week). I put over 500 miles on, most of which was done in 3 days. Great snow, beautiful weather - can't be beat! One of the coolest parts - I was able to ride for 2 days with a cousin of mine who I haven't seen in over 20 years!!

The best riding we've had in many YEARS in Michigan's U.P., rode over 3,400 miles.

The highlight of the season happened during a 4 day saddlebag trip in West U.P. We just happened to be in a local pub in Lake Gogebic when Nick Keller (pictured left with my son) walked in. He is the world record holder riding his 2010 Vector 22,150 miles in 60 days in 2011. You can see what his odometer was that first week of February below. I just read he finished the season with a total mileage of 62,152... incredible, that's a lot of miles on a 2010.

So has anyone seen his maintanance/repair record compared to 10000 mile Cat.
With 62152 on a 2010 its not spending much time in the shop.

Did not see Nicks but the Cat one was ridiculous 2 drive clutches and a driven + a lot more. Machine was a 1100 N/A crosstour. Can find it on HCS.
Glad the Viper has Yam clutches!!

I have seen what he does. He earned every one of those miles with meticulous maintenance. Involving unthawing sled every night and going through everything. It was not as easy as it seems. Do a search there is a whole story on it somewhere.

I'm sure what he does in a day would be far greater than what a lot of us would do in a week?

I go over my sled after every local ride as well but I do have the benefit of having a heated garage.
I usually just re-grease the skid and give it a wipe down but I also look visually for anything out of place or loose.

Imo, if you don't look after things at least somewhat, then you're definitely not going to get long life out of them either.

Mostly grease jobs and mechanical wear crap. Zero engine repairs.

Considering we used to get started in early December many many years ago. We haven’t been able to really ride much around here the last few years till mid January. The year of the 100 year flood in 97 gave us TONS OF SNOW & a LONG SEASON.

Well this was close to that in total snow fall and we were able to get out on Christmas morning and start riding. This has been a AWESOME YEAR that’s for sure, AS WE JUST FINISHED RIDING for the year.

The Manitoba TY Ride was a ABSOLUTE BLAST, thank you WPGWARRIOR and we met some new Yamaha Riders and made some new friends as well. Looking forward too riding with my YAMAHA CLAN next season as well as my new friends and some new TY Members I haven’t met yet, but have been talking to about riding with……WATCH OUT 4 THE BUSH SLED.

Weather wise, it was probably the 2nd or 3rd worst winter I've seen since I started snowmobiling. Very strange too. We had awesome riding right after Christmas and then multiple thaws/rainstorms in January made it sketchy almost all the way through February. March was decent.

Mileage wise, I did 2400 miles which is only slightly less than average for me.
