looks good, got mine together last week. Is yours really stiff, Mine seems fairly hard but then again so was my mono last year after the shock rebuild, then it loosened up after a couple good rides. I assume the zx2 will soften up as it breaks in as well. Let it snow......

I think its really kinda easy just follow the directions. Best thing you can do buy a air rivet gun make things real easy.
I purchased my ZX2 used it has about 800 miles on it. Mine feels stiff has the heavier springs installed from previous owner. How much track clearence do you have between tunnel protectors and lugs on the track?
I am running a cobra have about 1/8 of clearence seems alittle tight to me may have to shave the lugs alittle.

I'm running a 1 1/2 " crossover and removed my tunnel protectors but didn't remove my front heat exchanger protectors, I think I may have to, seems pretty tight in there right now...

The ZX2 won't compress that much when you push down on the rear of the sled. If you had the suspension out and pushed from the bottom it would compress. I've been running this skid since it first came out (3 years ago?). Never had any major issues. Had the shock re-valved this summer should help with the bottoming out issues I had when riding double. I did break the bottom shock bar/bolt last year but that was my fault as the shock should have been re-valved prior to the beginning of the season. Changed the Hyfax once since I owed the skid. pre load 5 pins in 2-4 holes works well for me. The sled rails the corners like a shorty.
I just finished installing in my 07 RTX I bought ot in Yellow. Man this thing looks massive when mounted under a sled.

Boivin told me that there would be something coming from UPS under $50.00 for shipping. I thought it was more like $30.00. Nothing yet. I will let you know.

Quick question, do the mounting brackets mount on the inside of the tunnel or on the outside? The directions were not very clear.

Inside the tunnel.

Finally got the first ride with zx2 suspension about 450 miles.b Checked all the bolts at everystop and track tension no problems.
As for settings started out with 2-4 on revolver and 4 on springs that seemed to handle very well just had real bad skii lift around corners. Put about 300 miles on that setting. Then switched to 2-5 with 4 for preload didnt handle big bumps well but seemed not to have to bad of skii lift around corners.
I prefer the 2-5 just got to get my skii problem fixed. I tryed hugging the fuel tank more around corners that seemed to work to keep skii lift down.
Overall pleased with performance of the zx2 it never did bottom. Trails where bad beat the #*$&@ out of the sled nothing broke.
