For a guy that is about 150 lbs w/o gear, and has no snow to go out on test rides to tweak, what would you guys recommend for settings? Currently I have the floats in the front set to 50 lbs, and whatever the stock settings on teh ZX2 are (springs at lowest, revolver at 2/4?) We ride bombed out twisty trials, with occasional trips to the blackhills, hoping for a UP trip or two a season)...

well, when there is enough snow for them to actually open that is :o|

Start out with the skid the way it is. If you bottom out repeatedly go up one on the spring adjuster, remember to allways set the springs the same on each side.

sounds good. ;)! Hopefully I will get a chance to try it out this year!

what the heck? I thought I remembered the revolver plates being at the stock locations as I had typed that first post from memory. However, I guess I pulled the pins out at some point during the install because I just got to the place where my sled is to work on it, and see this:

my revolver plates are completely upside down?????? I cant even get them to flip back over to the correct positions with the tool, its like something is stopping them from rotating all the way around. How does this happen, and do I have to remove the skid again? Please dont say I have to, it was a nightmare to get the bolts to line up!

Tips, tricks, thoughts?

yeah... I had to take it out anyways due to an exhaust leak at the Y-pipes

You fixed it :) guess the skid will work great with the plates in the correct position :)

so, umm...

I got the exhaust leak taken care of by installing some Excell headers, and everything bolted back in. For some reason I the hyfax isnt actually touching the track near the rear wheel? I shoulda took a pic before I left but I was tired and frustrated. I can seriously put my entire pinky finger between the hyfax and the track while the sled is sitting on the garage floor. I took it for a short sprint around my buddies yard and it didnt settle into place or anything.
