I dropped my Viper off to the dealer today for a reflash. It was supposed to be in and out but it has a fuel line recall. So supposedly they HAD to keep my sled and order the parts. It should be done next Thursday.
Ill let you guys know how it goes.
Stopped by the guys house that I bought it from and he gave me all the stock primary weights and the stock secondary helix. Im going to install a new set of ngk iridium plugs and take it out and see how It feels before I go back to stock clutching. So if I contact my local Yamaha dealer they...
My 12 apex was supposedly 150 hp but I kept seeing that the power was pumped up and was actually lower. This viper should be 130 HP plus the cold air intake should give it 8 more hp bringing it to around 138 Hp in a lighter chassis than the Apex. Shouldn't it feel just about the same as the apex?
Took my Viper for my first ride today. I bought it a month and a half ago. I am not impressed with the power. My old 2012 apex RIPPED!!
I think something is wrong with it. It has good power in the lower rpns but wont rev over 7200
Its a 2014 SR VIPER LTX it has 6900 miles on it. It has an excel...
I had a 2012 Yamaha apex se last year and loved the engine but hated the rear skid with the mono shock on hardpact. So I sold it and I am seriously thinking of buying a 2014 Viper with 6500 miles on it for $5200
I think this is a good deal. What do you guys think? The guy really took care of it...
UPDATE!! Reset toe with weight on sled. Took almost all ski pressure off. Set rear shock on second clip position.
HOLY #*$&@! This thing turns like a son of a bitch now! I am keeping up with my 2 stroke buddies now. I'm right on their asses in the twisties. These snowtrackers are awesome...
My shock wrench is beat up and stripping my shock adjusters. Is there a better quality one out there. The Yamaha one sucks!! One thing I noticed is the tool is not as wide as the adjuster. Do they make a shock adjuster wrench that is a better quality one that is wider so it does not strip out...
I had the skis on my snow covered driveway I wiggled the skis back and forth and I believe they were not hanging up. Mabye I had the bungee cord too tight. Not sure about you guys but I have a lot of play in my skis. Ill have to reset toe and check ski pressure again. Mabye they are too tight...
