My dealer did not even ask for my sled to be there. They sent my photos with a vin and miles and they're telling me I'm all set. I talked to another dealer who had already done a few this summer and he said Cat never asked for anything regarding ECU readings. So, this has been my experience...
I'm getting my clutch replaced under the recall. Handled it yesterday. My dealer said Cat will not be shipping the Teams until mid October but I'm on the list already and claim has been submitted. It's an updated part number but who knows if it will hold up better. FYI I talked to another Maine...
Looking for a decent pair (left and right) stock coil springs for rear skid of my 21 Tcat, part #'s 3704-380 and 3704-381. Previous owner sacked these out a bit I think.
Thought maybe somebody had upgraded to some big boy springs and had their stock ones kicking around they'd let go cheap...
I'm on my 2nd season about 2500 miles with an xs827 tuned at 270 with stock teams. Guy that rides with me bought a used tcat last year with a SM 260td tune and original owner had 6000 miles on the original 112 cat belt running teams too.
You said normal suspension adjustments.. did you pull your limiter straps up any from stock setting? I've always had to pull mine 2 holes to get any decent bite regardless of what i was using for runners
Yes it's amazing to cruise at those speeds. Prob 22/41 gears would do what you want to do. I run 21/41 and can cruise rail beds pretty comfy at 100 barely on the throttle... and it pulls good from 100 on when I get after it lol. My brother runs 22/41 in his..very little difference when we run...
Absolutely, been there done that with the packed mufflers. They are quiet for a while but will get louder... stock mod is probably the only way to get some power and maintain some sort of noise level. I did the 3" td stock mod this year and although it sounds "stock like" it's still def...
The only thing I could point out with the 24/50 gearing vs 21/41 is this: I ran the 24/50 in my tcat for 3 seasons with a 270 tune. It would pull to 115 and stop. So I was happy with the top speed as I didn't need to go any faster. Where I didn't like the stock gears was in that trail...
yes they are, I found 21/41 in my tuned tcat would pull about 125 on hardpack groomed trail and just run out of gear. But a great all around gear combo for me where I ride.
I would stay away, they just aren't made for high speeds imo and have no durability compared to a 2ply. I had a single ply on my 12 XF turbo and granted it was studded with a tune, but would ratchet and balloon at high speeds banjo tight. I can't give any great feedback on a long track and it...
I ran the sandale 2.5 for 3 seasons, but it got progressively louder as the packing wore out. When it was fairly new and under 1000 miles, it was nearly identical to my brother's 2.5 TD SQ. Both were pretty reasonable on the trail all day. Sandale got too loud over time. This year I went...
Thanks for all the suggestions guys.. he picked up a cheap $20 harbor freight 3 legged puller and it came of with only a few turns. Was hung up on the splines. Unfortunately, the shaft is quite worn and the bearing looks great as most people are finding. Aside from having to install a whole...
Am attempting to inspect my friends brake side driveshaft 18 Tcat with 6k on it, he just purchased it. He has a terrible brake pulsation that will shake your hand when applying but otherwise goes smooth when off brake. I suspected the bearing and or driveshaft has worn like many have...
