Cat team recall

Plenty of these clutches failed on box stock 998 sleds, also including 800s and even 600s.
Yes, mine was cracked at 800 miles bone stock.. I flashed after

I am going to flash my buddies T-Cat back to stock before he brings it in, then flash it back after.

Supposedly, "they" can tell if there have been alterations (ie 3rd party tunes) to the ECU via "tracks in the ECU." even if it has been reflashed back to stock. If you get any confirmation on that, I'd like to hear. There's so much conflicting info out there about this. Cat official bulletin shows the requirements to get a replacement clutch which specifically states the dealer has to verify whether or not the sled is stock with no alterations. Then, there's many reports of dealers who did not have to report to Cat whether the sled was tuned or not.
At the end of the day, I don't want another Team clutch that will eventually crack anyway so this recall doesn't do anything for me. I already decided to try an ADAPT which is already on my sled. Time will tell if they hold up or not.
Then, there's TAPP, Powerbloc, STM, etc.

I may not be doing any re-flashing, I think my flasher has taken a dump.........not sure I want to spend $550 on another one.
