I also like the bolt idea, I was going to use solid aircraft rivets on my tunnel to hopefully not give the snow a edge to stick to. I like the progress keep moving forward!

Use carbon sheet, snow wont stick to it light and stiff. I think they will even water jet it out to shape now if you send them a file.

No they are different and wear. If you adjust the washers with a new belt, you could just replace the belt at intervals and never have to adjust it again. However they last for nearly ever and a simple 5 mins change and you can save $100 seems worth it to me. Just keep the washers in a baggy...

Ulmer is correct, or you do what I do and just stab the gas at every possible moment and wear it down faster haha. Boom no adjustment needed after a few hundred miles. :cool:

Will you be able to unscrew the oil filter, if not maybe that plate can be removable? I love the idea of moving it back, and keep forgetting the 3 banger has the oil filter back there. Its in the front on the apex. The use of HPDE is interesting, I hadn't thought of that. How much heavier is...

Looks sick all together but naked yet. Run with HPDE this year and see how it goes. My guess is the zip ties will freeze and crack, but won’t hurt to try it out and that is an easy thing to mod later. I would do carbon only if I could prove snow won’t stick to it.

What is your latest estimate on the total weight of the sled?

Mine would be a MTX. GT and Std apex are the same. RTX and MTN are the same with a hard foam insert on the bottom. I couldn't stand the GT seat I sank in it too far and hurt my knees. MTX is perfect, still soft but I could sit stand very easy with proper bar height.
