Put a new battery in my 12 Vector today. Since I had everything apart figured I change the spark plugs since original plugs with 11,000 miles. It’s been a few years since I changed my Apex plugs but the Vector seems like a tighter space. No way I can get my hands on the coil wire clips to unplug or to remove the coils. Seems like the engine is further back under the handle bar area on the vector. Would removing the bracket the headlight pod sits on give me more room to reach the coils? Are some people removing the gas tank and coming in from the back side like on the Nytros? Any suggestions would help thanks.

You can get them out. If I remember right I had to remove the anti freeze tank. You will also need a swivel extension to get at the plugs. It will be tight but take your time

Much easier if you remove the headlight pod bracket, doing 2 Vec’s tomorrow as a matter of fact. For the extra couple mins to remove the bracket it’s a no brainer to me.

I’ll try removing that bracket and see if it helps. That engine tipped back and close to the handlebar area makes it difficult. Let me know how your plug change goes.

I’ve done lots of them over the years, don’t find it very difficult although the coils can be a little bitchy if they haven’t been removed in a long time.
