It will be interesting to see if the 998’s or the 2 smoke turbos will dominate

Just had a look at the rules and it's basically another high dollar Hypersports money grab again. Feel free to put in their outlaw engine and power adder. Its an outlaw class with a stock type chassis. So go spend $200,000 on their latest greatest engine and drop it in a stock chassis to go win maybe $5000. Don't understand why anyone would fall for this, but there is a few that are crazy enough to fall for it. They have a good money grabbing gig going on there. And no 998 is even going to be in the hunt with the rules they have in place, guaranteed.

So much for a true trail class lol! Too bad would have been nice to see

It does say oem production based engine not sure exactly what that would mean lol

Remove the word "based" and it would be oem.
Show up once with a trail sled and loose by 5 seconds.

Does say that on their Facebook page. They go on to say do with the engine as you wish. Sorry I took that to mean any snowmobile based engine which would include their 4 cylinder, but even at that, if you are not building a full on Outlaw type big bore and stroked 4 Cylinder Apex or their stroked 1100 based Suzuki you are going to be in out in left field. Maybe a stroked and big turbo 1200 based Doo could to the trick as well, but the 998 3 cylinder is not going to be in the running for the win. If you're not bringing 800-900+ HP I wouldn't even bother bringing it to the track. This is not a "trail sled" class by any means even with "trail" in the class designation. These rich guys that run this circuit, are all going to be at 900+ HP capabilities and they sure are not going to run down any trail for any length of time at all. They will be the second fastest class at the event just behind the Outlaws IMO and right at the Pro-55 level or the potential is there to be even quicker than the Pro-55's. Either way, If you don't have mega $$$ to throw down the drain or out the window without caring at all, you can forget about competing at this level. They are going to cost mega $$$ and be very fast. Think Pro-Mod door slammers, or NPK street Outlaw type racing dollars and budget to run here at the level they are going to be at. Its not going to be a cheap budget class like people think. If you want to win you'll be basically purchasing a Hypersports 1100 stroker or Outlaw Apex engine, Hurricane Outlaw Apex, maybe a Santry Apex Outlaw engine or a Bosco stroker 1200 Outlaw engine and putting it in a worked over modified stock based style chassis with stock based modified stock style suspension and the 159" long track under it.

It will be a class with more innovation and thought put into them than some of the other classes. The few rules they have leave lots of room for interpretation and innovation. Looks like a lot fun for the guys with a lot of money to throw at them for sure, right now some people think they are going to bring their big turbo 998 trail sleds to the race or even their Boosts and 850's. They are going to get embarrassed bad if they think they are going to compete at this level with these rules in place.

I was kinda hoping it was gonna be a class guys could bring there trail sleds and throw down especially since I didn’t see any side action races going on at the st Germain shootout this past February
