I have rode the xtx but not the se. By the time i put the extroverts, track and skis on i want its cheaper to get the se. I ride mostly cross country but do use the trail to get to play spots. How does the mtx compare with no sway bar? Does the front end react much different? Are the rails...
Wow thats rollin on a mtx! I was riding a xtx with 1.75 backcountry yesterday and 151 km (94mph) was it. That was a good mile on groomed trail. Yours a 153 x 2.25 ?

Havnt seen 2010 yet but 09 mtx 583. I believe yamaha claims 21lbs loss for 2010? They also claimed the 09 is 553.?? For comparison xtx 565, m 1000 162 514, 800 rmk assault 507, summit 800r 154 466. These are quotes from snowsports magazine on intercomp scales, ready for the trail without gas.
Only a small % of people who ride post on these forums, you know there are alot more out there than this, still a sweet motor when its runnin, if someone would drop one in a xp for me i would be set.
Nice pics. What kind of a project was that engine transplant? What clutches? Anyone put a nytro motor in a new style doo xp? That would be my dream sled, in a gade.
According to teams site the tied is the new and improved secondary where the movable sheave moves axially with no rotation eliminating any scrub. Rapid reaction is now old school.
