    mods for better midrange performance

I will order a Ulmer clutch kit and give it a try. It sounds like it would be money well spent to add better performance. Thank you all for your help. Have a fun and safe riding season! Chris

    mods for better midrange performance

I have a 07 Apex RTX and would like to gain more midrange performance and I would give up some top end to achieve this. My question is would a larger top gear and a Ulmer clutch kit be the best option? Thank you, Chris

    steering

I have seen a post on here about Schmidt Bros. has a shim kit that takes about 95% of play out. I have had the ball joint update done and still have the play, going to try their shim kit next.

My Phazer Burnt to a pile of ashes this weekend

Did you have any of the 2 holes in the tunnel covered? Sorry to have this happen but glad you are ok.

    Tunnel close off from yamaha.

I ordered the 09 update kit 2 weeks ago. Dealer called last week and said it was in but the kits were shipped with no instructions. Just dropped the sled off at the dealer tonight and they told me they now have good clear instructions on how to install the kit. I will be picking the sled up on...

    Cold Hands

On my 08RTX this past weekend I found that if I turned my thumb warmer off and my hand grips on all bars that the grips did get warmer then they ever have. They were not extremely warm but did get warmer. It seams their is not enough power to run both the thumb warmer and the grip warmers at the...

    Easy Start Kit

I have an 08RTX, does anyone know if the 08's received the cold start updates? I also have noticed when engine is warm it will fire up after a couple of cranks like its going to start but won't unless I keep starter engaged even after it finally starts. I am also worried about excess wear to the...

    switching

I ride a 08RTX(blue) and my buddy rides a 08 nytro RTX(anniversary). We have ridden 500 miles together this year with these sleds. We have ridden each others sleds many times and both agree the phazer is a much lighter sled to ride and a blast in the ditches and tight twistie trails(where both...

07 phazer is sagging just sitting there- bottomed out

My 08 RTX does the same thing when it is parked in my garage. I was told by a mechanic that this is normal as the rear springs have memory in them. I found this to be true. As soon as I drive the sled, the spring tension came back to life so to speak. Best of luck to you!

    Phazer vs 600SDI Rev

I spent 3 seasons on an 05 Rev 800x. I snow checked a 08 RTX and now have 500 miles on her. Yesterday I rode 120 miles with two of my Rev 800 buddies and through the tight twistie trails and rough ditch banging I was always right there. The suspension is awesome! I personally feel not as tired...

So whats the deal now with closing off of the tunnel?

I would love to close off the tunnel. I bought a five year warranty with the sled and I don't want to void it in any way. If Yamaha said I would not void the warranty I would close it off. Does anybody know this for sure? I have 400 miles on now and my kids can't keep their feet on the running...

So whats the deal now with closing off of the tunnel?

I am new to this site, and very glad I found it. Excellent information here. I have an 08rtx and have ridden it 100 miles and I too have ice building up on my foot wells. It looks like water is coming through the seam between the new added on(stock for 08 models) side panels and the plastic...
