My whole baffle slid right out of the 700. In the instructions it said that if I wanted to use the baffle still I would have to remove 3 spot welds that hold the baffle to the stock tip. But my tip/ baffle was one piece fully welded. So I just tossed the baffle under the seat incase someone said...
So I was at Advance Auto yesterday (again) and I saw that they had sets of super white lights on sale for $10.00 ! Went back home and pulled the lights out of the Grizz and headed back down. Turns out it was a match to one of the sets on sale, same as a car bulb. So I went from yellow 35w/35w...
Thank you. I word on machines for a living, so I get a little anal when it comes to installing things. I'm going to fill in between the light mount ant the plate, since it is the only open area. I think it would clean it up alot. I put PIAA's up front also. They cost, but well worth it.
Well here is some pics, don't think they will help any, but I could do a wire diagram if needed. I didn't get to take the side panel off to get a pic of the reverse wire, too much other junk to work on.
First you need to get a relay with a normally closed contact, they sell them at auto stores. The reverse wire on top of the trans has a constent ground through it untill it is in reverse, then the ground is broke. (if you jump this wire to ground all the time your limiter will be bypassed, but...
Nevermind, I have it hooked up so when it's in reverse the light will come on, but shuts off with the key, or when not in reverse. If anyone wants info on it, just let me know.
I put one on two days ago, it's not a big difference in power. It is louder, but all my friends say they don't notice it as being too loud. Many just a deeper tone. It's hard to tell you how much power it added since I probely didn't give the computer enough time to adjust. I put a clutch kit in...
No special tools are needed. I put on in two days ago, the hardest part was removing all the plastic. The kit just came with new weights and two washers. It made a night and day difference with the 700 on 27's. I got the kit off ebay, ffrom Fix Power Sports.
Anyone have a reverse light that comes on with the shifter? My friend and I put reverse lights on yesterday, turns out his brute fource had a plug in the back already that worked with his reverse indicator. I could not find a plug on my 700. I'm going to have to use a relay.
A dealer can only do so much. Mine is great, but it's like a family company, I can only get it replaced for free, if they can get it from Yamaha for free.
The 2002 Raptors had transmission problems, in 03 they were changed. You had to pay out of pocket to fix them.
I hope they step up with...
So the speedo was +5 over gps. Has anyone done a gps run with a TNT or Rev? or compared the Ski-doos to the Nytro's speed readings? I'm asking because my doo friends will say they hit 100 mph and I will only see 95 mph on my speedo when I am next to them doing the same speed. Was thinking Yam...
I've been hitting the bumps hard (thats what they are made for right?). So I check out the front end at every rest stop we take (about 75 miles). At this time it only looks like the right shock is closer to the back of the top a arm than the left side. I'm good friends with my dealer, so when I...
Anybody know what the shims do that are on the sleeve/ bolt that hold the secondary on? There is the bolt, then washer, then 3 shims that go on the sleeve between the washer and the clutch.
This is my first sled, and I love it. The best part was when I was on a trail with 5 Kats. Half the trail was groomed, and the other, well I was doing about 70 mph passing the kats that were on the groomed side. Since it was my first trip, I feel I bought the right sled.
Now I have only 750 miles on the sled. I bought it last month. When I got that mpg it had about 400 miles on it. I'm still getting the same if not better. Sundays trip was alot of tight woods trails, then WOT. So I did not bother to figure that out, but I was still happy with it.
I got 105 miles, the light came on around 95 miles. Then when I filled up it only took 6.2 gallons. So I figure 120 miles is no problem. I do about 70 mph on the trails, and 80+ when I can. I'm thinking I should get better miles soon as I get the frontend 100% dialed in.
