Has Yamaha actually provided any significant reworks/updates in the past?
What were they? I'm curious about the possibility of 08 front end fixes for the Nytro.
Just trying to get a feel as to whether or not to hold out any REAL hope.

In 1998 they ripped apart every 600 & 700 SRX engine; straightened & welded the cranks. Some 1999,s had issues & they fixed those also.

In 1982 they dumped almost every SRX 500 into the Pacific and gave the people who had them ordered a deal on an SRV or the V MAX 540 in 1983.

In Sweden the Vector ER SP -06 (Nytro to you guys) had your shockpackages and we have almost NO groomed trails so they rebuilt my rear shocks.. THe front had Öhlins in ours and those were just SOOO good..

97 XTC, replaced front spindles, riveted the trailing arm mounts, AND replaced the complete (jugs, pistons, rings gasket and labor) top end. Viper, fuel pump, shocks ($189 installed) replaced and mine had 3500 mi. on 'em, new seat cover when mine ripped. Attak, 2 sets of all new exhaust gaskets and 1 set of clamps, all OUT of warranty. So,yeah , the do step up !

I seem to remember that owners of the -05 RX-1 (the one with the first MonoShock skid) got an updated and strengthened center swingarm. Unfortunately I ripped mine apart before the new one was made available, and the new one was not that good because I needed three of them to make 8000 kilometers with the -06 Attak...

The most important key thing to do is pick a dealer with a good reputation and develope a good relationship.
A dealer can only do so much. Mine is great, but it's like a family company, I can only get it replaced for free, if they can get it from Yamaha for free.
The 2002 Raptors had transmission problems, in 03 they were changed. You had to pay out of pocket to fix them.
I hope they step up with a update kit, even if it was with just a discount. But I feel any blame would be on me. Any time there is a first year product, there are always changes. Cars, trucks, quads, sleds, it don't matter.

Yamaha updated the entire rear suspension on my 2007 Phazer FX. New front arm, link center idler wheels, and bushings. My Nytro doesn't have any of the bending that some of you guys have, but I'm sure Yamaha will take care of the problem.

You say they updated the rear suspension for "your" Phazer. Did they offer the same for the thousands of other sleds they sold? Hearing alot of ones and twos, HAVE THEY STEPPED UP TO DO A LARGE SCALE UPDATE???? I have been asking this for a couple of days now. I think the answer is NO. Each buyer is on his/her own. You can probably get it fixed, but Yam won't come looking for you.

The very first reply to your original post answers the question you have been asking for a couple days now.Zoggan said:Aaron P. said:Yamaha updated the entire rear suspension on my 2007 Phazer FX. That was large scale update to a first year model and the SRX subsequently proved to be a very popular sled until it was discontinued with the introduction of the 4 strokes. Yamaha did in fact come looking for the owners of those sleds to make the correction.
As for the 08 Nytro, my personal speculation is that different components will be made available late summer or fall at a reduced cost, similar to the handlebar/warmer update made available for the 06 models. Pure speculation on my part though....

Sorry guys..my nytro works 100% after minor adjustments & I have not had any issues other then sliders wearing to the lines at 40 miles then staying at that level for ever.

Yes they did and the only thing that was broke on the factory components was the link that couples the front and rear shock (a common problem on the 07 Phazers). They tried to order just the link, but it was on backorder for a month and a half, so my dealer made a phone call to Yamaha and said it was unacceptable to be on backorder for that long, and Yamaha sent an "update kit" as they called it at no cost to me. Mabey you guys should quit complaining on this website, and go to your dealer and have them take care of your problems. I just traded the Phazer for the Nytro mid January so mabey I haven't had it long enough (700 miles) to start bending, but I am confident my dealer and Yamaha will take care of me if it does happen

I would also call offering EVERY i believe it was 2002 viper owner a different shock that was a A LARGE SCALE UPDATE!!!!!
You do not appear to be interested in the answers we are giving you even though they fit your requirements!
Nobody on this site can say what will happen because we cannot speak for Yamaha. They have definitely come through in the past and I expect to see the same in the future. You are starting to sound like a broken record, sit back and relax for a while and see what happens, don't become a tossed out broken record!
