Try.... yamahapartsnation.com..I just ordered a lower a-arm for $220.00 plus whatever delivery charge..they wanted any where from 300.00 to 450.00 anywhere around Winnipeg.I have ordered quad parts before and prices were also way better. They come in Yamaha labelled bags so I'm assuming the are...
I went through a set in 400 miles...set the track to spec in the manual... dealer said my track was to tight..got him to set the track and no problems since..he set the track looser, have about a 1,000 miles since and they look good.
As a group we figure out who has got what and try to cover most ..that way no one sled is carrying too much...when I ride alone I take it all esp. survival crap..fire starter etc.
4500 miles on my nytro... oil change, plugs, 1 exhaust donut and just changed to my third set of sliders..haven't had to change a wheel or bearing yet.Handles great with 6" slim jims... would definitely look at an XTX...my Rtx is a little rough.
Rode my RTX121 and my son in laws' 800-136 Switchback(rush sups.). The 800 rides great and great power...I just prefer my 4 stroke...also that rush suspension just looks like a lot of trouble waiting to happen.
Bought updated relays(make sure you get new stock)for both my Nytro and Phazer when they wouldn't start , now no problems even at -30c here in Manitoba.
I use both... full face electric when it's -20c or colder.... MX and goggles when it's warmer than that...prefer the MX helmet...get bloody cold in Manitoba!!!
You have to be sure your dealer gives you the newest upgraded relay(2013 part). Changed both my Phazer and Nytro and they started fine at -25C. I carry a spare but too hard to change on the trail. I carry those pocket sized hand warmers with me to put on the relay , but have not had any starting...
I just put in a new relay from Yamaha...I was assured they are an upgraded version. Took a good hour to change..needlenose pliers and pulling the front plastic pin on the relay bracket and I could squeeze my hand. Starts fine now at -25 C. Make sure you get this years upgraded relay.(put a rag...
My '09 rode really rough too. I weigh in at 200lbs. I ended up with the front fox shocks at 60 lbs. Front shock in the skid ..put the spring at all the way soft, and set the top and bottom adjustments at 5 clicks from soft...same with the back shock. Much better, but still a little rough.Next...
If your coolant level is low you may have an air pocket in the cooling system causing the sensor to not read properly. I'm not sure of the procedure to get a air pocket out but I think there is plug on the block to do that. It shows it in the owners manual somewhere (I think).
Just put sliders put on and had my dealer check it . He recommended setting the track looser than the manual says.He set mine at least 1.25" . If the track doesn't ratchet it should be fine
Go to your dealer and grab 2 relays , make sure they are the newest upgrades from YAMAHA. My 09 rtx started no problem with a -38 windchill (Wpg,Mb).Last week was a no start at -25. I also now carry pocket hand warmers so I can throw one the relay if I have the same problem in the future. I had...
