are there any symbols on the gauge showing...any codes? Have you checked your oil level?

The red light is on for water temp. It goes on when u first start the sled up and goes out once the engine is warmed up. It will also come back on once the sled starts to overheat. I think we all know that, but just in case i said it.

Maybe your water temp sensor is disconnected? And the ECU cant tell if the engine is warmed up?? This would explain why it is staying on. I would put my money on that.

If your coolant level is low you may have an air pocket in the cooling system causing the sensor to not read properly. I'm not sure of the procedure to get a air pocket out but I think there is plug on the block to do that. It shows it in the owners manual somewhere (I think).
