CCLCC is making the "trail tank". They keep pushing out the release date though. Its a damn nice looking until once completed though.

I am seriously considering buying a Nytro for the comming season - I would love to get an XTX, but from a financial stand point the '08 is a much better buy - and if I can "fix" it (mod it) - it might be worth my while.
What I am wondering is if anyone has developed or looked into developing...
I would like to take a closer look at the Nytro...is there room for a larger gas tank? Because of the exhaust you cannot run the tank under the seat (ala REV XP). To make the tank larger may force the rider back an inch which could make for a very different ride/handling sled. I have no idea...
Huh, I just watched, and listend to the races again.
First off I assumed the launch scene and then the first finsh line scene were the same race (I may be wrong)....if they are not, how can you tell from the launch scene that the Nytro won (you can't possibly be able to distinguish who is...
I understand the give and take relationship but you are talking about less the 20hp difference between 2 sleds and a pretty significant weight loss...with that said I have no problem with the Nytro loosing to the Apex. My initial post/comment was because everyone coming back from demos were...
I was just going by what many where saying after coming back from the demos. I anticipated a much closer race...
I should preface that by saying 600 Meters is a pretty long race (almost 2000')...so HP is going to prevail.
This race is definitely not as close as I would have hoped/anticipated :dunno: Ecspecially considering all the reports coming back from the demo rides. :ORC
My first thought:
12+lbs (assuming 2 gallon tour budy) seems like a lot of weight to be sloshing around on a clutch guard. Unless I am missing something as to how it is supported.
Very cool...just got me to begin questioning the design. In the quest to save weight I was afraid they may have cut some corners in the convenience factor...glad to see I was wrong. I need to get some seat time on one of these things...just wish my Firecat was worth something so I could afford...
I just watched this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FHlQ6XbJHLk. They make reference to the chaincase and cover of the FX Nytro being one piece (to save weight). Is this true? Does anyone have a photo of this? I guess I am interested to see what this means as far as changing/replacing...
