YAMAHEATER Nice Warm Hands for 03 - Current Yamaha 4 Strokes

O.K. Rock, I removed the jumper splice the previous owner installed when he put updated bars on my '06 Apex. I moved the black/red wire out of factory plug and installed the correct factory black wire back in its place beside the factory yellow wire. Then I dug the old wire plug-in labels...

YAMAHEATER Nice Warm Hands for 03 - Current Yamaha 4 Strokes

No sweat Rock...I'm pretty sure I figured it out last night. Didnt think you'd appreciate a call at 10:00 pm Pacific time, lol. I just wanted to confirm that I had the correct handlebars...now I see they've been updated so I'll just adjust plug-ins accordingly and fire it up. Should check...

YAMAHEATER Nice Warm Hands for 03 - Current Yamaha 4 Strokes

Woah...easy there Rock. I wasn't trying to be derogatory in my posts, just asking honest questions. The directions are universal, not specific is why I asked. Not trying to overthink anything...using a very universal harness, with very universal directions causes me questions is all. It seems...

YAMAHEATER Nice Warm Hands for 03 - Current Yamaha 4 Strokes

Hi Rock, Bought one of your kits last year and it never worked correctly in spite of having a steady red led light, etc... I figured out tonight that it was because my early '06 Apex had that black/red wire jumper set up. I removed that and wired it the best I could figure out using the...

Reverse Kit in Apex Mountain from Non-Mountain Apex?

Hello all, I want to install a reverse kit in my '06 Apex Mountain as the 162" track makes it hella difficult to turn around in tight spots!! I want to buy a used kit but the only ones Im able to find are out of non-mountain apex's. Although fitment is the same, this creates a gearing...

Thats exactly the scenario that we were in when I visualized purchasing a snowjack!! I remember thinking to myself "If we ever get outta this, Im buying one of those damn jacks!!", lol. Seriously, we were on a logging road that was progressively getting worse and worse, had to turn around...

    what do we have

[ Yeah, tell that to the Polaris owners whos 800cc and 900cc cranks have literally snapped in half or broken off at the PTO side!! That to me is the single biggest fear I have about owning one of those lightweight, oil burning, high revving two strokes...crank failures. Yikes!

Anybody here ever used a Powder Jack to get unstuck?

Well if it makes you (and everyone else) feel any better, this is the first real snow we've had all season...this winter was really warm for us (El Nino ocean currents). I just want to be prepared for next season..trying to be an optimist, lol. Next years gotta be better than this ones...

Anybody here ever used a Powder Jack to get unstuck?

http://www.powderjack.com/ Anyone ever used a Powder Jack to get unstuck before?? I had to turn my Apex Mountain around in a DEEP tight trail yesterday and got heavily stuck. After lots of digging and tugging, my girlfriend and I finally got my sled unstuck....yes, she's still my...

Yamaha sleds uncanny similarities to their MX BIKES

Yes that is pretty uncanny. But I gotta say, Im a tried and true Yamaha dirt bike rider...have been for life. I used to race TT500 big bore four strokes, worked for a Yamaha shop where I got to test ride all the new cutting edge stuff right outta the crate. I remember being at Washougal...

Which is the best heavy duty sled lift?

I just bought the 1,000 lb capacity engine hoist (a.k.a. Cherry Picker) for $99 bucks and it works awesome. Had my whole skid out with the back end of the sled way up in the air for quite some time. Best thing is, when done with the hoist it folds up nicely to take up minimum footprint in...

One day for the older Apex would be Nice!

Well if the power steering components are really that affordable I foresee a lot of folks doing a retrofit to their older sleds (I.E., my '06 Apex Mountain). I can see all the do it yourself pictorials being posted now, lol. ;)! :rocks:
