Posted here last month for convincing arguments to buy a nytro xtx next year rather than a new cat. I can't believe the messages I received telling me to get a cat. Some here and some off board. All this talk about cats issues when it sounds like the nytro and yami have plenty of their own...
What's up with all these ball joints and subframes. What exactly is a subframe. I am used to tunnel, bulkhead, etc... Either way, why do they need replacing.
Thanks. Great posts. I like the cat too. I am just a bit worried about the first year thing, I've been there before with cat. Also worried about the wife thing. 10 grand is easier to get by her than 13.
Ok guys. I am officially 50/50 now- yamaha or cat. I live in central Mn about 45 minutes NW of Mpls. I need some feedback on dealers. I am not concerned about travel within 2-3 hours of home in any direction as I cover that range with my job. Let me know. I have Moon motors and Heinens...
There is a lot of complainin everywhere you go. All I want out of this topic is whether you guys suggest the xtx is a good machine or not. True, I have had to make changes to every sled I have owned in the last 25 years. What I want to avoid is the disaster of something that I will regret...
I always lean to cat but the dealers are pissin me off. I am about ready to go to wisconsin. If cat had not come out with the pro cross I'd have an xtx on order already.
Stopdropandroll. I can't believe the varying opinions. Its the norm though. Just like opinions on anything. I sure do like the fact guys will put it out there whether they like it or not. I am 45 minutes from 4 cat dealers and 10 minutes from a yami dealer. For this reason I was hoping for...
Thanks a bunch guys. I read some about the front ends on here and from another site. Chatted with a couple anonymous yami owners. I am going to the show in Minneapolis next month and will decide between the new cat xf800, xf1100 turbo, or the xtx. Any more opinions are appreciated.
I am a 25 yr cat rider torn between a first yr cat or an xtx nytro. I have some questions I hope you guys will answer. 1) what's up with all the hubbub I read about ball joints, A arm bushings, steering failure. Major issues or maintenance items. 2) Ice under the tunnel. Is this a big issue...
