You could buy a used Apex seat and replace the RX1. You'll have a little storage. Or you could buy a rack, many people make them Wildchild on Snowest sells some nice racks with LED light built in. You'll have to get exhaust turnouts or do an undertunnel exhaust. Follow the both link for the...
On trail I never have darting issue. Off trail in sping crust I don't think it would matter what type of runners you had. The 05 skis grab in spring snow.
Thanks for the reply. I'm looking for a 159 track likely stay with the 15" so I don't have to mess with the chain case bolts. Trying to find a polaris IV 159 takeoff. I got the universal mounting instructions from a guy on Snowest for the ZX-2. Once I find a 159 track I'll do the set-back. I...
There much wider not sure how wide I'd have to measure. If I had to guess I would say 7-8". They made a huge difference in the flotation of the sled. I might try the Gen2 next year.
Yes its a single G-force unit. It has bottomed out on me but not more often than my old skid. I might revalve or try a different spring next year. I'll give Aaron a call when I take the skid out next spring. Going from a 151 to a 159.
You'll have to have turnouts or an undertunnel exhaust to avoid burning the bag. There are many companies out there that make racks that will fit the tunnel.
wildcild (curt) on snowest makes them. I have this on my RX1 mnt and love the ride. Search Jigger sled under the garage forum I posted some pics. Up Brett price is close to what I paid.
No you will not need cable extensions this will move the bars forward approx 3-4 ".
After searching for a stock tow bracket and coming up with nothing worth while for the RX-1 Mnt. I decided to have one custom made. I had a local machine shop put it together, made out of stainless steel. Since the photo I drilled a hole in the bracket to mount the safety strap to instead of...
Picked this up during the summer and took it out for a test ride without the family today. Made by Fibro tech out of Quebec they don't make them anymore. One of my friends has this same model and it handles the trail really nice. My other friend has a single bench seat model with only two ski's.
If you make to Kapuskasing area PM me I'd be glad to show you around. Today -24 C with windchill -30 C (-22 F). The last three or four days have been rather cool. I haven't seen the GM cars out yet. We have a cold weather testing site here as stated earlier. As for my sled starting no...
Thanks for the reply, but I have the longest version of the zx2 available. AD Boivin states the 151 skid canbe used on a 162 track but I wasn'r sure about the balance of the sled. Thanks for the response I may look at a different skid and track all together. maybe an Apex takeout.
I've bottomed my 151 skid out a bunch of times. The long track version only uses one shock so I thought this was the problem but I may try and tighten up the track a little and see if that helps.
