I have had a 2017 ltx se 137 for 3000 kms and loved it. Flatest handling 4 stroke I have ever owned going back to the rx1 days and it would rival my 2000 SRX for flatness as well. Easily buries the speedo to 110 mph and no belt issues at all.
I have sold this and excited about my new SRX when it...
Yes I think there may be a new tunnel impression. We measured from the running board to the suspension bolt on both the SRX and Sidewinder with a marker and piece of paper. It appears the suspension bolt on the SRX is higher up from the running board.
I have a new back country track I was...
Went to the local sled show again today. The mounting bolt for the front of the rear suspension of the SRX is upwards approximately 1 " (eyeballing) compared to the sidewinder beside it. Looking under the tunnel it looks tighter too. Id say Yamaha remounted the suspension for less of a turning...
This is exactly what I was going to do to my SE. I even bought the side covers but I returned them as I snow checked a SRX instead.
I think this looks great.
I changed the chain case oil today on my LTX SE. it has 3000 KM and this is the 2nd oil change. I noticed the reverse chain was quite loose and there is no adjustment. Anyone else observing this? Any concerns?
I think a heated vest would be a good idea for trail riding. Has anyone tried this on the sidewinder with a heated seat? I am wondering if there is enough electrical capacity for both.
a friend of mine ha a 2014 polaris RMK. last week on the trails we had lots of loose snow and my sidewinder ran normal temps. His RMK with a 2.5 track heated up to over 200F. He lowered the ice scratchers and that resolved his issues.
2 things-
1)I thought there was tons of snow for him and...
I installed a Hurricane 225 flash this year. Runs excellent. I was able to get 120 MPH on gps. Only 117 last year in stock form. Dave was excellent to deal with taking time for me during his off time to help me with the install.
ok, I installed the Dalton black/green primary and 66 gram Dalton weights with 5/8 setscrew all the way to the tip. I have not tried this set up yet, and I know I will have to tune it.
Engagement is at 3750.
anyone make blue knees pads for the sidewinder? I am looking to cover up all the white at the knee area. This is more for cosmetic reasons.
I will use black if needed.
Anyone have a picture of skinz installed on the white knee area of the machine?
