2019 Clutching

the Yamaha rep at Haydays told me 14.5 rollers. He also said the helix hasn't changed....
looking forward to the confirmed measurement on the rollers.

I was using 15 mm rollers all last season with no roller issues .When you stop for a break ,let some air in the sled .And ck.things .

14.5mm rollers, took one out and measured it this morning.

Can you post exactly what has changed from 18 to 19, then somebody can just go and order the new parts. I know it has already been stated each part in different posts, it would just make it easier for someone to order

Hi Ken,do you mind saying where you picked up your 15mm rollers from. thanks pete

Helix:
2019 = 35-39

Secondary Spring:
2019 = Pink

This is all I can tell from the spec sheet included with the SRX we got. Will know more after tech update school.
Looks like it will upshift quicker and have quite a bit less belt pressure in the secondary with this spring/helix combo. This spring is less torsion and compression than last years stock spring. Probably they found a more efficient cooler running combo.

Posted this in other thread too....

Good info.

SRX Clutching.....

With lighter pink sec spring, and rev 39/35 helix, it seems YAM wanted to lighten up backpressure.

Do we know what the rivets sizes are in the weights? Are they same as previous yrs?

Also, can you check on what the secondary settings are, as to which numbers/degrees spring is set at(IE: 6/1)

Thanks
Dan

14.5mm=8gf-17624-00 15mm= 8gf-17624-10 15.6mm-8gf-17624-20 16mm= 8gf-17624-30

Previous primary weight are fully loaded 3x4.5gr per arm Still the same?

The secondary "stock" on 17-18 doesn't closed and backshift realy well......
I don't understand the softer spring for 2019:-/

Stock Sidewinders could barely pull the stock clutching until well broken in. Back shifting wasn’t the greatest also. The steeper helix and weaker spring will only make things worse. Maybe the rivets are lighter in the weights? Maybe the 1 inch track is way easier to spin?
