With regards to the 12v plug and the dash being on the same fuse, I just ran another 12v plug direct from the battery. Hopefully to avoid shorting the factory 12voutlet and loosing the dash.
I ran it up the steering post and put it in my handlebar bag. Now I just plug my GPS that's mounted on...
THAT right there my friends is the reason why this site is so great!!!!!!
That guy on the vector may have never heard of "totally Yamaha" but and idea from here saved his day riding.
GOOD ON YA!!!!!!!
Same here
Happened to me the first time when I had it on its side but has happened a couple times after my first service of just trail/boondocking and not on its side at all.
Seems like a sensor is awfully touchy of something???
Has never stuck me yet but........
Next trip I'll get the vin and hopefully get the ball rolling on this if you want to check it out.
Bit sceptical as I've heard of 14's with the starter go and mine is a late build 15 Xtx le with everything up to date and mine went. It don't hurt to check tho.
Dealer told me to keep the key...
all the 15 xtx's have the mountain seat not just the le
Don't know about height as I have sat on a ltx but have never ridden one. I did not notice much of a difference just sitting on it.
I think the mountain guys will be excited about the narrower/lighter front ends.
The 146 skid I think is the best of the new release.
The apex Motor is rock solid but that chassis has seen its day.
I was torn about getting my 15 as I was expecting a whole new sled 100% Yamaha for 16.
I'm happy...
I agreed totally.
I would have loved to have seen a 100hp ish motor in a lighter weight frame.
The whole sport and industry is getting to price itself out of being to many.
Most don't need the fancy gadgets and high hp sled to get a decent season sledding.
A 100ish hp sled with a decent ride...
Just like the title says????
Don't see anything mind blowing on the new and innovative side.
Was expecting/hoping for something new like straight from the factory installed turbo.
I see the xtx le of 15 is now a mix 141 and a 3 inch track for the mtx.....
Can that engine spin that track...
I've had some trouble with my sled but still love it to pieces!!!
I understand there may be some problems with all sleds of all brands but as long as you enjoy it and don't loose too much time sledding,
just ride it!
Look at all those 800 brp's that have blown up.... Still lots being sold tho...
Yes I did. It was at 17 threads showing first when I got it and found it rough on the trails.
My limiter was tight like that when I got the sled and I left it like it.
I let off on the Center shock and lowered the pressure in the fronts and rear shock. Night and day on the trail.
Felt like it...
I love my xtx le but am wondering the same as it seems to sink a lot and drag its #*$&@ in the rear when in pow.
My limiter is pulled up to the second last hole and the Center shock is let out to 12 threads showing on the bottom.
115 in the rear and 65 in the fronts.
Love it on trails but like to...
Some just complain to complain!!
I love it too!!
My nytro had a couple issues first when I got it and then had 14000 kms trouble free.
I have already had the starter issue with my viper and another issue but hope that will be it.
To me we now have the best chassis and the best motor in the...
I have the xtx le and couldn't be happier.
I'm coming from a mtx nytro with a 2.5 ce and this xtx is a far better sled boon-docking and in the pow pow all around.
I do a lot of trail riding as well and love it. It rails and have no issues with cooling or hyfax wear.
The xtx le also has the...
I have the skid plate but still have Tia problem.
I may try some kind of deflector.
I wondered about welding a half piece of pipe on to the front half of the exhaust outlet so that it would stick down through the belly pan an inch or so????
I must say I love the sled in the pow pow but it do have a tendency to spit and sputter.
In saying that we were in windshield deep stuff for the last 10 days. It was the deepest I've ever ridden in.
A couple of the guys I was riding with had the same issue. 600etec, m900.
I may try a deflector...
X12
Unreal the difference from the nytro.
I can climb, get around in the pow and boondock this xtx waaaayyyy better then the nytro mtx.
Just an all round better handling sled
