It seams like this forum has gotten way to negative. TY is here as a help for thousands of people. It is a learning tool and a place to go when you need answers to questions.
I know there may be a few problems but ALL sleds have them.
My personal experience with my viper has been overwhelming positive. I have over 4000 trouble free and happy miles.
Lets all try and turn this forum around. If you can't say anything constructive please save it for your Facebook blog.

Second season on mine with no problems. I love this sled. Looking to get another one. A left over 15 or a 16.

I hear you, and although I don't own one yet, nothing said here will stop me from ordering one. NOTHING is perfect out of the box as we all ride different terrain and conditions. Everything needs to be adjusted to your likings.

With all the Vipers I had at my shop today, I did not see anyone that was unhappy with their purchase.
I love mine. Is why I stick with it. For every disappointing day have had many more Rocking Days!

Well said Muffin...
Good timing to get the word out considering what's coming in a few days...
IMO there should be no tolerance for as you say haters...

I've had some trouble with my sled but still love it to pieces!!!
I understand there may be some problems with all sleds of all brands but as long as you enjoy it and don't loose too much time sledding,
just ride it!
Look at all those 800 brp's that have blown up.... Still lots being sold tho!!
Quite frankly I don't think the vipers have near the problems as those sleds.
I'm sure the few issues there may be with the viper will addressed by Yamaha.
I've been on other sites like this and hated the negative attitude. This site has always been helpful, informative, and even positive when problems arise.
I know it gets frustrating when stuff goes wrong, God knows I've been there but I'd prefer the haters for the sake of hating go elsewhere.

Have close to 10000 kms on my 14 xtx, problems so far...loose steering..a few hot start issues in first year...blew a starter this year....lost 1 week of riding because of all these issues. But I absolutely love this sled, love the torque...love the comfortable ride...and love how it handles on and off trail.
Yes I have had have issues, however I've had one friend who has totally thrown in the towel on riding because of two blown engines on his new Polaris, and few others with major engine trouble on their doos.
To be totally honest I was expecting some issues with this merger however Yamaha has stepped up to the plate with all of these issues and still have my confidence.

Agreed, constructive criticism is one thing and we can all work together to fix issues... The constant bitching about how these sleds are artic cat junk is ridiculous

I'm anticipating to join the "I love this sled" crowd. 40 miles is not enough to make an accurate call. But those 40 miles were great! We're leaving 2/24/15 for Tofte MN and the Gunflint trail area. Goal is to need the first oil change by Friday. We'll see how the XF7000 performs.
