Viper XTX LE

anybody have ridden it in the trail? how does it compare to the stock XTX with 1.6"?

We have one of each, the SE 1.6 does great on the trail throws up lots of snow to keep the slides lubed. The LE with the 2.25 is fair but you just need to be a bit more mindful, it wont kick up hardly no snow on the hard packed trail make sure you have the sctrachers down, this track likes the powder better . Just depends on where and how you ride.

i'm riding in gaspesie, Quebec.
We have some nice trail and groomed. I'm riding my backcountry nytro xtx without any scratcher except for 1-2 times a year if we get some rain. But this happen 1 winter on 3-4. So i don't worry about the heating.

The question is more do you see any difference in trail riding quality and stability?
in the powder, does it really change the thing over the 1.6?

Really torn between ordering a mtx 153 SE or the xtx le dont ride alot of mountains. More tree riding and some trail. How much worse is the mtx during trail transports? On the other hand i will put the 38" front on the xtx before it leaves the dealer and the mtx already has it. Damn hard to decide. Would be helpful from some input who has ridden both. :o|

The LE has narrow front already so you wont need to change that.

Yes, I can notice a better ride quality and more stability with the 1.6 on the trail.

They live for fresh powder! The deeper the better! I've driven my xtx LE a few times on the groomed trails, it does pretty good, but was created & designed for boondocking!

I had a 14 Viper XTX 1.6, and now have the XTX LE 2.25 w a turbo... I will say the other did do better on the trails, but the 2.25 does just fine. You do feel the track more on the trail, but if you like to ride off trail, WOW! This thing is amazing in the POW. I also like the ergonomics better on the LE the seat is a little taller and the bars are taller and the turning is more horizontal if that makes sense. If you mostly ride trails, the xtx is the sled for you. If you like the deep, BUY the SE

I have the xtx le and couldn't be happier.
I'm coming from a mtx nytro with a 2.5 ce and this xtx is a far better sled boon-docking and in the pow pow all around.
I do a lot of trail riding as well and love it. It rails and have no issues with cooling or hyfax wear.
The xtx le also has the longer tunnel of the 153 mtx so it can take a track extension without extending the tunnel if your ever wanted to.....not that I think your would.
This sled rocks!!!
