Sled bogging out in powder

Powder is the place where my xtx se performs quite well, I would prefer a little more top end on hardpack but am still tuning the clutching.

It's a xtx le and bogs out badly in powder and really bad when side hilling on the right side.
Anyone have this issue?

Its happened to me. It bogs in real deep snow.
I have seen some guys on here installing a little deflector in front of the exhaust to deflect the snow away and give the exhaust some room to get out. I think they are using parts off the old mountain max.
Its not enough of an issue for me to bother addressing it

No issues here. But in the past other sleds had this issues and they had a deflector for the exhaust.

I must say I love the sled in the pow pow but it do have a tendency to spit and sputter.
In saying that we were in windshield deep stuff for the last 10 days. It was the deepest I've ever ridden in.
A couple of the guys I was riding with had the same issue. 600etec, m900.
I may try a deflector.
Another issue I had in the powder was how the rubber boots over the tie rods filled up with snow and froze. They swelled so much that I thought they'd tear off.

yes its the exhaust. really kills a turboed one. i am looking into a deflector for the exhaust too. skid plates have a little deflect in them but not sure if its enough.

Be careful and don't block any exhaust. The exhaust will deflect back and melt plastic. Been there done that. Lol. Oops!

I have the skid plate but still have Tia problem.
I may try some kind of deflector.
I wondered about welding a half piece of pipe on to the front half of the exhaust outlet so that it would stick down through the belly pan an inch or so????

Becareful doin this.. if you hit something it'll crush your outlet and possibly become a major restriction. Best to use a deflector ahead of the outlet.

I found same thing this past weekend on west coast so much snow I think it was all the snow coming in through that open vent in side panel it's like a snow scoop when carving on right side. So much fun but 2 1/4 power claw may be in my future.

Not sure if something like this would work for you?
I seen this at evolution power sport.
