The FX Nytro is not designed to be a snowcross race sled. Rather they used the open mod racing development to make this the best possible aggressive trail sled. I talked to the reps at the dealer demo in Gaylord today. Robbies open mode racer uses the same engine but iwth different intake and...
Nope his mechanic was Mac Randolph the owner of Mountain Performance. They are making and selling the supercharger that Blaze used. The back flip at the X-games was done by Burandt and he was running a 600cc twin pipe open mod snocross race engine not a 440.
I think some people missed the fact that the Apex LTX which is the 08 Attak only went up $300 at $10,799 it is a good value. The 40th models are limited editions and the ohlins alone add about $1,000. According to my dealer there are plenty of Apex ERs in stock.
Here is a good link to Yamaha's site with more pictures of the new race sled, podium pictures, and a race recap. They mention that the new sled does have a Phazer basd FX chassis with a Nytro engine.

Just got the call Robbie got 2nd in his first heat! He beat Blair Morgan! Heat 2 he was 4th and in heat 3 he was 3rd. So it looks like the new sled is really working. Keep in mind this is one of the deepes most competitive fields that has raced WPSA in years and Yamaha is in the hunt. Not...
Talked to my Buddy at the track and he said Robbie was looking good but got a bad start and was in 5th place. Robbie overjumped a double and cased it on the next jump which bent his bars down and he had DNF. That is too bad but at least he did not get hurt. There is another full schedule of...
It looks like the Brainerd race will be shown on Speed Channel on Feb 3rd.
With yesterday's win Robbie and Yamaha have become the first team to win a national heat race on a 4-stroke and this is the first time a 4-stroke has qualified for a national main event. It should only get better from...
Great news! Robbie won one of his heat races today! He will be in the main event tomorrow. My buddy called from Brainerd and said that Blair Morgan, Tucker Hibbert, and Gart Kafman have still not qualified and will have to run the LCQ tomorrow. Robbie also got a 4th and a 5th my buddy said...
My guess for the top three are Malinoski, Ross Martin, and Morgan. Hibbert is just getting back into it but he could definately make it into the top three. I think Robbie and the Yamaha will turn a lot of heads. I met Robbie at Nelson's show and he is extremely driven and dedicated. I think...
I agree Voyagers just look at the new Arctic Cat Jag it has a twin and it is 30lbs heavier than a Vector a big twin 4-stroke needs such a heavy crack, cases and balancer shaft plus the vibration requires a heavier chasis. If you look at Superbikes the Honda RC51, Suzuki TL, and Ducati V twins...
