I would put in the black spring which should drop engagement to about 3800. Keep the 805 belt and try it. The spring will also bring up the rpms on top a little. You will probably need to drop a little weight out. I would try to run it so it comes in at 10,700 and finishes at 10,800 or 10,900. I...
you can get the cams, porting and anything else through DynoRay. His number is 902-647-2250. If you are going to buy just one cam get the intake. I did the porting myself.
I would think you should pull more r's with the ignition module and PC111. I would try changing the fuel back and forth on top and see if you pick up more rpm and top speed.
I used a hauck 4 degree key and filed it to get the 6 degrees. I did not pull the 9 degrees out of thin air. That is what Dyno Ray advances his to at 11,200. He knows more about these motors than anyone on this site guaranteed. Don't forget the Apex ECU pulls back timing a lot as the rpms go up...
The Roetin Skorpions hook excellent and are carbide tipped with an arrowhead. They are not as durable as a regular style stud but are much better than a steel chisel.
I have a few pics of the porting that I will post. I am not using a wideband. I had a ballpark set up to start with and I played with it to fine tune. I do not think I will Dyno it this year maybe after the new cam.
Splitting the gasket is simply an inexpensive way to raise the compression. You can also get a .010 gasket to bring it up a little more. If you want to spend the money to machine the head you can do that to. I think you can go plenty without clearance issues. If you split the gasket, get Rays...
I did some testing this weekend with the boondocker controller. The sled is running great. I had to reduce the fuel on top about 5% and clutch it 11,000 to 11,100. I kicked the crap out of a lot of sleds including two XP 800 which where not even close. I think I may still be able to gain a...

Ran the radar run in Rangeley Maine this weekend. Hit 91.6 in 660'. I wish they ran 1000'. That night after it was over a bunch of guys were racing on the track probably about 1000'. There were 2 XPs there and just me for a while. I was kicking the crap out of them. We ran 6-7 times and i won...
I have a 6 degree key in mine. I do not have a lot of testing yet with this setup but after this weekend I will know. I know that DynoRay sets up the power commanders at 3-4 degrees advance all the way to about 10,500 then from 10,500 to 11,200 it creeps from 3-4 all the way to 9 degrees. I...
