did you bring it to your dealer yet? What's the verdict? I hope they have looked at it already to at least order parts.... colorado is getting a foot of snow today!
i'm in cadillac so trails are usually super flat and smooth but i don't think the super could tell if it was smooth or flat anyway, it just runs at whatever rpm i'm driving. when it is bumpy then you usually are not driving at 10500rpm so bumpy trails would be easier on the super. on a turbo it...
Sled has almost 19000 miles! all of them supercharged. After opening up charger I found the shaft has broken in half right under the vanes and this unit is way out of warranty and they don't rebuild them so no need to send it back.
Even with the failure I am very happy with the sled and...
I have the charger on the bench, belt and taper is fine, if you spin the input shaft by hand it doesn't spin the vanes and the vanes and the shaft they are mounted on is loose inside the charger... you an wiggle it around. I talked to Mountain today and they said the charger is not rebuildable.
I noticed my supercharger started making a louder than normal whistling noise a while ago and yesterday it stopped making boost. Still spins and the bearing are fine just won't build any pressure. Anyone got a stage 2 or 1 laying around while I send this one back?
I had to remove the my supercharger from the sled for some maintenance and most of the oil spilled out when the oil lines where disconnected. I reinstalled the supercharger and oil lines but I'm sure the charger should be primed before i start running it. The oil tank is lower than the...
pipe was too loud, it hung down 1/2 inch lower than the stock one and pat wouldn't fix it. Before pipe was damaged sled ran same rpm before and after.
I had the pipe fixed and rewelded 1/2 inch higher under the tank.
and if your wondering I'm running the stocker again.
preliminary verdict- 126, 0, 125, 126.
it is not a stuck ring...and i can see the piston move up and down. Can't see how number 2 can read zero? Odds on just a valve stuck open?
Anyone got a set of takeoff stock pistons/rings they could send out asap?
email...
yes to the wideband, on each boosted sled. I don't notice any warning signs of impending detonation though. Do you guys think the knockbox is a good investment? Does it let you know in time to shut her down?
I'm not going to start it anymore, those pictures are scary and right now the turbo...
"What were you running for fuel? " Had 112 and pump somewhere around a slopping 50/50. It was my fault since the sled was in my garage with 100% 112 and i siphoned half it out to trail ride at low boost. 2nd day added 9 grams of weight and flipped the switch to run off against a CPR and MPI...
