Look under the left rear of your Griz , you will see the black tube that goes up under rear panel under the rack. That is the exhaust for the cvt. Im thinking of a sorkel kit maybe.

Well ok I learned a valuable lesson after all that it was the stator , what a waste of $$ on my part, should of went with my first instinct, at 1st I thought it was the stator , but even the dealer told me thse #s were good, well I put a new stator in and it is pumping out 14.47 V at an idle ...

The 05 griz is the same as the 04, same specs and all I do believe. Mine gets at least 12 mpg, rear brakes work great and starts immediatly and always did when stock,until my latest charging problem that is the only prob. thus far in 1400mis.

I usually put a good amount of filter oil on and it seems fine, If you use the pre-filter do you have to rejet?, the only thing I dont like about the k&n is its a son of a " B " to get it in the airbox.
