Cheaper fix, go to your hardware store buy 2- 1.5" bolts with washers and nyloc nuts (length depends on type of ski) drill hole inside corner of rear ski and install bolt. Seems to kick up enough snow for the hyfax, but not enough for the exchangers. You can always add the skid mounted...

Wondering if rear heat exchanger would work on my sled with the factory installed rear tow hitch installed. Which has the backer plate bolted thru the rear tunnel extension, will the bolts iterfer with the exchanger, does it mount flush to the tunnel?

Me too, I only have 2800 on my 07 attak and the noise seems to be coming from below the sterring column @ around 4500-6000 rpm's, not horrible but not normal either. Maybe it was from that endo I did onto the hood last year!!

Powderhounds here too, just back from breaking trail in 3' of fresh stuff and the hounds keep the oh so heavy front end up on top, even from dead stop front comes up on top. Yes, not the best hard pack racing ski, but for my applications I can say they are world's above the stock crap!

My original slides went 1800 miles, with front wheel kit my aftermarket blue ones, (not Yamaha) were cooked in 500 miles! Can't blame bad snow conditions, we have 4' on the ground here. Looking at replacing again, any recomendations?

Yup, I had same problem on my 07 Attak ,with 13mm bar, pulled strap up 2 holes from stock to increase ski pressure, big difference, but I ride mostly loose snow conditions and this had an adverse affect in that condition, between this and spring pressure you have to experiment for your conditions.

Actually lookinf for helix spring setting (3-3=60 stock) just moved to 6-1 have not been out yet, also added washer to shim secondary, belt was alittle low in sheaves for proper holeshot.

Sounds like you want a trail sled, so what 700xtc said is fine but for my taste no good, you sacrafice too much on the other end, I too have the same issues, but want the front end to bite hard, shims worked to a point for me, but trying new skies, you soften it up soo much you better weigh 170...

Your right on Turk, Attak does not backshift from hard pack to the deep stuff. Do you offer your own kit or just modifications to the existing stock clutch. I have been milling around the aftermarket and Hartman has always set me up good, because one size does not fit all!
