Hello everyone I have a 2018 sidewinder which I have installed the hurricane tune bundle on . This included their high flow trail friendly muffler. This set up is not at all loud by any means and imo the same as my apex I have read on different posts that up in Maine the wardens are...
I myself put a set of elka 4s on my sidewinder but haven't gotten out on the trails yet. when I tried to adjust the rear ride height I could only get the sled to sag with me on it 1.75 inch is this what you got on yours? also how did you adjust the center shock rebound and compression...
Has anyone installed the hurricane stub shaft and then used the tool? Well I had my clutches spot on with tool prior to installing new shaft and now I need to add shims behind machined secondary. Is this new shaft made to correct rattle and offset?
I installed the bop steel shaft sleeve that slides over cheap aluminum factory shaft. The collars on the factory shaft end are eliminated therefore leaving slight space in which 2 washers are added on each end to fill gap. I got it together last night using a pipe thru my rear wheels and a...
I was going to undo the torsion springs if I couldn't get it to get behind front shaft. The problem I will have if I remove the shaft is getting 3 washers back on between tunnel and shaft on each end while trying to hold up skid and track
I pulled the front shaft out and the 2 rear bolts and removed skid. I then installed the steel sleeve that Travis sells at Bop over the factory cheap shaft which strengthens the front shaft and keeps it from bending. The sled is on a lift and the skid is back inside the track but I can't get the...
Hey Dan just curious what size self sealing take off you used on your silicone elbow? Is the hose coming off your 15 degree bend the same size as well? Thanks mike
Hey Dan where did you find that 15 degree tube with the hose connector? Did you buy it that way or weld it on yourself? What size barb fittings would I need to hook up my 2 hoses to the cai. Thanks mike
So what I'm gathering from all these posts is the hose i.d. is 2.5 inches and it's a 90 degree bend? Also I would need a 2.5 ss joiner and 2 breather hose connections?
I bought the hurricane race bundle which came with the weights and trail muffler for these high hp maps. I was installing the new muffler and noticed the inside flange bolt hole to be too close to the exhaust connecting to it( this would be the 90 degree bend before the flex portion of the pipe...
The new spring you got should only have orange on one coil correct? I got mine a couple months ago so I should be ok. Thanks for the link to Dalton products. I used them for my spring and it cost me 30 bucks to ship it.
I never had the original blk/org spring. I just got one 2 months ago in prep of the upcoming season. I couldn't find the Dalton dtya-1 springs on eBay or anywhere but the source.
That's the same instructions I got with mine and I will try it there. Hey Dan where did you get your Dalton weights and springs. In the USA or Canada? I'm just trying to avoid high shipping costs. Thanks again mike
Dan I forgot to ask you about your clutches and did you have the pocket machined to prevent coil bind. Would the Dalton spring be shorter than stock to prevent bind. I was just wondering if I need to do this if I got a new helix for I am hoping the pocket would be deeper in that so I could...
That's good to know about the quick spool tunes snapping belts with incorrect helix. I run a 137 track with 144 studs. I will try either the 39/35 or 37/35 my ride weight is 225 and I like to ride hard when able. I think you put me on a great starting point with all the testing you have done...
That sounds like the blk/red would be a spring I will try instead of the blk/green. I will be using the glide washers as well. Dan didn't you sell your 39/35 helix awhile back? Have you put any miles on the new 37/35 yet? I have the hole shot helix from thunder but was told it may not work so...
