Guys,
after putting the sled together last winter and losing all the ice and snow the weekend before i was finished i still have not had a chance to run the sled off of the stand!!! Might have to get her in the grass before x-mas just to make sure it works. Couple questions for you.
1...
i would agree. The dyno can be too much fun sometimes and because its controlled you stay on it too long and lean on it too hard.
Remember the 809 Ski-Doo!! people would always complain that half way through the winter holding them wide open down the lake all day and running reg gas that they...
I have not had a chance do do any real world testing yet. I am 300 feet above sea level....mine idles at 13 but as soon as i touch the throttle it seems to react. What pilots are most flatland guys using with a powderlites front mount? do 4 strokes like fuel or prefer to be lean?
the black 136 is in the Garage. My buddy bought it. It has the exhaust dump into the tunnel, i will look to see if it has a turndown. It ran 148mph so i think its is working ok...Like i said, i did not take it apart to see how it exited.
so at speed the air being pushed through the bulkhead by the track will cause too much back preasure dumping straight into the tunnel?? I never would have thought that would happen
Glad to see some people have tested and are willing to share info. I Have always relied on testing with a dyno. More to see what and where everything is happening than looking for a number. For people looking to get on the rack, Greg at JAWS has built a new dyno cell with state of the art...
Seems that there is a growing number of us with turbo or superchargers and I have not heard many people talk about getting on the dyno. I myself just finished my sled and have not had a chance to get it on the Superflo.
So who has? what are people seeing? is the number close to what we think...
I have a 136 SC-10 with 9 inch wheels available but wanted to keep the 121 for a little stealthier look.
want to be able to pull up and be able to race people....if its too trick people dont want to run.
I have a 2003 RX1 front mount with a 121 inch track. Being new to Yamaha i was shocked at how overbuilt and heavy the rear skid was. I was thinking of swapping it for a cat or Doo skid. What is the prefference? I am going to keep 121 for now.
Looking for lighter better aproach angle and some...
Hollywood, Jaws tells me you got that thing up to 160. That things cookin. I just got my front mount done. Cant believe how fast these things are.
Gucci.
Hey Laker, are you familliar with a 145 reducer (machined aluminum) in the T that attaches the fuel reg line and to the center line on a Powderlites intercooler?
Hmmmm, guess I will put it in. I am starting with 137.5's I have been told to go anywhere from 140-127.5?? I will be running 12-14lb, stock engine with C-12
