Painting would be a waste of time. I tried painting my old apex a arms and they just chipped. I have my Nytro in for powdercoat right now. It may last a bit if you sand blast then paint but it will eventually chip. Powder coat is the way to go.
Almost sounds like the fuel pump. Its like a car that has an arm that drops with the fuel level. It may either be stuck or broken. Simple think to do is pull your fuel pump and take a look.
Looking at turboing my Nytro and cant decide what one. I would be riding under 6000 feet so that is a concern and do not want to tear apart my engine to beef up parts. Any suggestions and pros/cons of each. Much appreciated.
Has anyone though about or installed a muffler from a car on their Nytro? I was wondering if it would work or not and what it would sound like. Im thinking of like a magnaflow muffler or something. Any thoughts or ideas?
I am getting ready to put my A Arms and spindles in for powdercoating but cant seem to get out the lower ball joints. I removed the retaining clip but am starting to wonder if they are pressed in or not. How to I get them out without damaging my lower ball joints and forced to pay over $200 for...
is there more liklyhood of something twisting or bending with it removed. I want to remove it but not sure if its a good idea or not. I ride 50/50 trail and off trail.
What advantages do you get with removing it? I have my entire front end torn apart right now getting powdercoated and was considering removing it but not sure if it will be a good idea or not.
Thank you for the info. I did not know that. In that case it would be to tall. I already have a 2 inch riser on there but it still seems like I am slouching forward a bit when standing up. It may be a good idea to go with a 3 inch riser instead. Not sure what I will have to do to extend the...
Does anyone happen to know how tall the factory Nytro MTX handle bar riser is? I am considering putting one on my XTX along with the extended brake lines and throttle cable.

Push Turbo
I would be riding under 6000 feet. Push has a turbo kit designed for under 6000 feet but I am not sure how good they work. They run about $3500.
I have already asked this question in the booted section however got no responses yet so I am putting this out there for some advise. I am considering installing a push turbo on my 2011 nytro xtx. I am from Manitoba Canada and ride trails/off trail powder. What is everyones thoughts on this...
I am considering installing a push turbo on my 2011 nytro xtx. I am from Manitoba Canada and ride trails/off trail powder. What is everyones thoughts on this turbo kit and will it work good for my riding. Also is it a simple plug and play system that does not require any modification to the...
Does anyone know what type of material sled wrap decals are made from? Its like a thicker material that has gum like glue on the back. No decal shop around here knows what it is.
I recently switched from a 2007 Apex RTX with a 144 x 1.5 track on to a 2011 Nytro XTX. Best switch I have ever made. I loved the outright horsepower of the Apex, however the gain in comfort, nimbleness and weight loss is worth it. The Nytro is truely a fun machine to ride and gets decent gas...
You can order the low profile chrome windshield from any yamaha dealer. The exhaust turn out keeps all the heat away form the can. I put over 230 km one day and it didn't get hot at all. I can see it getting hot if you didnt have the turn out.
2011 XTX with Doo Fuel Caddy
Here is a pic of my 2011 XTX with a doo fuel caddy installed. Was pretty easy to install. I had to get rid of the tail light and installed a low pro LED tail light and exhaust turn out. Works awesome and looks pretty good too.
