Anyone ever pull the sway bar without cutting it?

Its not hard. I pulled all plastic off and front bumper, you will have to grind down a 5 mm Allen to get in there to unbolt and then it will pull right out

Had mine out since it was new

What advantages do you get with removing it? I have my entire front end torn apart right now getting powdercoated and was considering removing it but not sure if it will be a good idea or not.

weight loss, ability to sidehill and carve easier, true independent front suspension are the three that I could think of... now with that said I have taken mine off and I have the stock gtyr piggyback shocks on my xtx and with tightening the spring tension on the shock hardening the compression one or 2 clicks and lowering the rebound 1-2 clicks and I really dont "feel" a difference between with or without the swaybar in there on the trail but I hardly ever trail ride and the bennies are way better in the hills and off trail without it there

is there more liklyhood of something twisting or bending with it removed. I want to remove it but not sure if its a good idea or not. I ride 50/50 trail and off trail.

I dont think you have to worry about anything twisting or bending, plenty of people do it and you would be very happy to have it off when off trail

I removed mine from my XTX and really found the trail handling to be OK. It definetaly has some more body roll when trying to high speed corner, but much more predictable in the bumps and easier to handle off trail. I am running FOX Floats up front and I had to raise the air pressure to prevent botoming though. I am definetly not going to put it back in. With a 1.75 backcountry track my highspeed trail running days are in the past. I am more concerned about off trail capability and manuverability. If you obey the posted trial speeds you won't regret removing it!
