RX1 clutch bodies and "other" yamaha clutch bodies

The 2-stroke clutches have a different spider assembly as well as moveable sheave (4-stroke stuff is stronger). The stock weights in a 4-stroke won't work in a 2-stroke clutch.

    2023 stock charge tubes

Late 22 build models and quite a few 23 & 24 models all have the same crappy charge tubes. I have gold, black, blue, and green in stock if anyone is needing a upgraded set in the USA.

    Yamaha @ the Soo I-500

They could run the Sidewinder engine, but not the turbo. The 998 engine is a legal entry, but we already had all the parts to build the Nytro/Viper 1049 motor, so that's what we went with.

    Yamaha @ the Soo I-500

In the last practice session pretty much all teams were in race trim. The fastest were running 105-106 mph and the slowest 99-100. The Viper was in that 101-103 range consistantly.

No power steering, we did chat about it a few times, but ultimately were already fighting a 70-75 lbs weight disadvantadge.

    Yamaha @ the Soo I-500

They were trying to qualify in "race trim", yes. As it looks right now, they'll get in as some teams can't make the call. They should start 37th!

    Yamaha @ the Soo I-500

The fastest I think they've gone was a 44.0 time @ 82 mph average. They are struggling a little with straight away speed, they've got one more chance tonight to get into the show. I think currently they sit 40th and only the top 38 get into the race for Saturday.

Definitely struggling a little with the conditions! They get 2 more cracks at it tomorrow!

    Yamaha @ the Soo I-500

Swingle Racing (based out of the Wasilla, AK area) is at the Soo I-500 this week. They've got one practice session in (I think 6 laps around the track total). They left Wasilla last Tuesday and drove to our shop in Menno, SD. They got here Friday morning. We spent about 30 hours on the...

Mtx cooler on xtx with rear turbo

It should fit no problems. It's been a while since I've done one, but the rear cooler barely comes to the front muffler opening in the tunnel. Should be plenty of clearance for the MTX cooler.

Full build 998 SRX on pump gas plus Boostane

@Doc Harley A little off topic, but yes I built the motor and then tuned a sled for the Soo I-500. What was originally was going to be a 2024 Viper build, got turned into a Viper motor into a Sidewinder chassis (there's no turbo on the sled) because Yamaha cancelled the owners 2024 Viper order...

Full build 998 SRX on pump gas plus Boostane

No one talks about their engine failures. I've overhauled them all, no one is on a pedestal! They all make good products, they can all be damaged as well, some guys can break an anvil.
