Terry,
Here's my question, as you've seen and ridden the catalyst chassis:.
Will the 998 turbo fit in that chassis?
If not, what are their plans with the 998 motor?
They are probably pretty tight-lipped on the latter, but take a few engineers out on the town for an evening and feed them...
I would start with empty weights. The redline pulls 100 rpm lower than an Ultimax.
You don't mention helix, but if your sled is 19 or newer, and running stock 35/39, adding tip weight in the Dalton's will make it tough to maintain rpms at topend. IMO you will fair better with straight 35 helix.
Boys...I found the ultimate gift for my wife this year. This should provide comfort on those late nights and lonely weekends while I'm out riding snowmobile.
Lol
I had an RX-1 do that years ago. It was like the lifters discharged. The engine cranked like it had no compression. Once started it was normal thereafter.
First slug gets screwed in all the way towards the tip until it stops turning. Not too tight, but snug it up. Screw the next slug until its snug against the first slug and so on.
If running Ultimax belt, try the weights empty with NO slugs at all, then go from there.
If running 8jp belt put...
If a stud pulled through, the track is shot! The next stud that pulls out will puncture the heatexchanger, then seize the engine. If you want to run it more, pull all the studs out.
Latest issue of Snowtech, they claim to have heard rumors that Polaris shoe horned a 998 turbo in the Matrix Chassis.
I can't confirm or deny the validity of that rumor, but will speculate that if true, that 998 turbo, with a tune, in a Polaris Chassis, would absolutely annihilate anything...
Thanks for the link! The description says seat kit, however the pic only shows the heated pad.
Will the kit include harness, switch and everything to make it work? Just want to verify before I pull the trigger.
Thanks
