I run glide washers on my winder but I'm not sure they are required if the spring turns in the primary the spring would have all the paint rubbed off the top and bottom I haven't seen that happen on any of the sleds I own? I'm open to where there is proof to this spring moving enough to matter...
Ride it stock I got good belt life out of mine and the primary springs wore the paint off the side it's just the nature of the beast. If you have belt issues then look into a different sec spring, rollers and helix so all your rollers touch and won't bind I don't believe the primary has much to...
It doesn't seem to matter what spring is in the primary it will chew up the sides I have tried TP orange TP black and yam white white white and they all have the paint wore off the sides with just a few miles on them
if you want you can run mtx gearing 21/49 with the mtx chain that will get you lower than the btx Le or I am gonna try 21/50 with the mtx chain on my sled this winter at elevation it will be a stretch to get it on but I think the chain will fit.
The btx has 8 tooth drivers and will clear a 2.8 just bearly I ran a 2.5 last year with no issues and you will want to change to atleast BTX LE gearing which is 24/50 that will still get 100mph on trails but will perform well in the mountains and drop the tip weight to 3.1 gram rivet and...
I'm not sure the less torsion is going to help I agree more compression is needed but the torsion is also necessary I'm thinking these springs will need to be wound at 90deg or so
The glide washers are for the primary I believe your issues are with the secondary the thunderproducts primary kit works very well stock to 300hp so you will need that or something when you tune but the secondary is where I would put your attention for your belt issues I am running the...
Can you post a pic of both sides of your flange muffler side and turbo side I'm curious on how this works this may be just what people are looking for?
I believe it's happening when locking the brakes the belt instantly slacks and instead of torsioning and riding down the ramps it slams straight sideways or when punching it it goes straight sideways instead of twisting I'm not sure but a quicker backshift I think will solve this hopefully these...
