I run 290 all the time. Never change it. The odd time I get the lights amsoil dominator boost solves it. Perhaps driving habits yes and mine's a 129 less rolling resistance etc and I'm a lighter guy.
I figured for sure I'd be buying rollers for this season. But I checked my tp rollers the other day (leaving tomorrow) and they are like new 2000 miles. stm 60's, 825, no float, no adjuster, 911, glides, gr/wh/gr, dalton white @ 0/1, cat torlons and belt looks like I just put it on with over...
Very nice work. One other thing you can do if coming up on a spot check is to park the right side of the sled in the deep snow. Makes it super quiet. Also makes it tough to open panel lol. Doesn't always work but may deter them from asking.
The last 2018 apex sure was the absolute best apex built. Loved the tech that went into that sled. It got overshadowed huge by the overhyped viper. I tried to find an anniversary apex but they were so scarce with few built. Yamaha if you have the ability to build us a decent chassis from japan...
Doo's air ride is quite nice for long hauls of high mile touring however when trails start to get rutted up the lack of rebound control tends to make the sled kicky vs an xrs or winder LE.
I find that my 18 LE kicked back at me through the bars a little over a bumpy corner even on 1. The high speed needed to be corrected. Stiffer low speed and softer high speed compression helps. Had lots of feedback from a few riders that ran cains quest with positive results. Otherwise the front...
I agree with both sides in this thread. One day i will lose interest in wrenching too and will learn to be happy with medicore power. Until then its still game on!
I have 4 in my group that ordered 900s and 3 of 4 are doing tunes right away. They're just tired of the same old etecs. The 850's in our group last yr guzzled oil like crazy up north. I'm hoping brp can at least give us something around 190 to start with. Otherwise im good trail riding at 290 lol.
