Please remove the Stock fuel pumps.
Why would you need a shut off valve?
I have never flooded the carbs even running the pump all the time from igniton to shutdown.
Remove the solenoid.
Get hold of a Y-pipe to T together the two Stock fuel lines into a larger single fuel line going into the fuel...
That is what I'm thinking machzrobbie.
It may not be detonation causing it at all.
Stigapex, I would go With a set of JE pistons on the rebuild.
The Wiseco's have a problem With weak wrist pins.
Broken piston from what I can see from the Picture.
Is there any visible damage on the other cylinders or pistons?
Is there any damage to the cylinder head at that cylinder?
What kind of Fuel Pressure Regulator do you run?
The Malpassi on my RX-1 comes from MCXpress.
It has one fuel inlet, two fuel outlet to carbs, and one fuel Return going back to the tank.
There is no way the carbs will overflow if they are set up correctly.
Get rid of the Stock fuel pumps and run...
2005 RX-1?
There is no way you can run a turbo kit on the Stock fuel pump.
The MCX-press kits for the RX-1 came With a high output Bosch inline fuel pump.
MCX used a Malpassi 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator.
My fuel pump and FPR is from 2006 and are still working as good as New.
Set fuel...
Have you taken your motor apart?
If it throws a rod it doesn't have to be caused by detonation.
A broken wrist pin will do the same thing.
Happened on both my RX-1 and my Apex last year
Wrist pin broke and took out the cylinder Block in both motors, no sign of detonation to be found.
The Wiseco...
Update - March 18. - Installing AC M7000 MCX270. The turbo kit.
Got in a MCX270 turbokit for a customers Arctic Cat M7000.
Unpacking the turbo kit.
All parts on the work bench.
The sled will be in this evening.
Update - March 13. - Engine Rebuild, Apex 2006, installing exhaust valves.
Before installing the exhaust valves i cleaned the cylinder head surface and valve seats.
New valves from my RX-1 cylinder head are going in.
They are the same part#s as on the Apex.
The Three valves on the intake...
Update - March 12. - Engine Rebuild, Apex 2006, taking the cylinder head apart, preparing to change valves.
Before starting to remove the valves I first removed all valve shims and buckets.
I placed them in the same order they are going back in.
I have bent valves on cylinder #4 due to...
sxr70001 - I Guess you will find anything you want for the Nytro.

Steiner - it's in the correct way.
I take it you refer to this pic
It's an Optical illusion. The eased edges point upward, away from the hose.
The blue marking is from the factory, says the bolt has been torked to spec :-)
Have Rotrex moved their Production to China, or are they buying parts for the SC from China?
Lower price but also lower quality?
I'm only speculating, I have no evidence to offer.
RED - you're correct on this, if they are backwards the sled won't work.
I have Pictures in rxrider's turbo garage thread, somewhere in the start of the thread, back when I ran a rear Mount MCX.
