oxygenated fuel will usually do wonders, but becareful....it is not good for you.
You know how they say cigarettes probably contribute to cancer?....propylene oxide and the other things they add to chemically create O2 are KNOWN to be carcinogens...and absorb instantly thru human skin. They...
Rocket is being truthful here.
I ran whiteknuckle on our RX -1 last year. it is louder than stock, but I liked the sound, and the exhaust was good quality.
We did test a few exhaust on dyno ...what he says is true.
The free flowing exhaust systems do start to help a bit more if you have...
I'm in NS Canada,..and it rained hot water here today....not a lick of snow..
That crazy Farmer's almanac said " much colder and heavy snowfall for december and January than normal, especially in the East... "
...What a bunch of crap that was, lol.
Rhoag...you know Scott Keiper(appleton)?
In the past few weeks it has been brought to my attention some of our dealers/customers have had a bit of problem mentioning some clutch products on this site that may be of interest to riders and owners of the new Attack/Apex snowmobiles.
I understand completely the reasons they have...
Most of the clutch kits out there have some time invested in them, and probably work well. I guess the point is that you should not just assume it is perfect for you or your riding style,..and a few hours spent dialing it in is usually worthwhile to get it to suit you the best
I can tell you that John Wheelock has been testing for some time. He is a good track dyno operator,..he has snow..and he has been back and forth between the two . He tests alongside his Ski Doo 3 cyl that is piped, ported etc for consistant testing out on the snow...and is still adjusting for...
they usually break(bulkhead) when you hit something with the ski,not from scraping the underside. If you don't get it right when it is straightened it will not handle correctly.
I rode one last year and had a lot of fun. It is better hp/dollar with a turbo than it is this way,...but it is a lot of fun when they ask you at the end of the lake.."is there a turbo on that one???...or what kind of turbo is that one???"
see fundypowersports.com
We broke ours last year. My wife hit a rock that protruded up a bit right on the trail. She told me the sled handled funny when we stopped"I said ,nah...its just the snow!....".....later she told me again,I said, don't worry about it,I hit the same rock...(I travel slow with her,I couldn't...
it seems that on some 05 models, the plastic sliding buttons on the spider in the front clutch need to be re shimmed. You do need special tool, but the dealer can do it quickly.
Hi guys, just thought I'd give my impression of a year on the 05RX-1.
First and foremost I gotta say that after a bit of suspension tweeking and tuning on this machine I really got to like it .It had an awsome ride and handling, and great performance after some mods. Custom camshafts and...
You guys jump on jtsrx too soon. ..I know all about the reduction gear rattle(worse on 03's)...but there are some 05 rx-1 and vectors out there that start to rattle quite loud after only about 100 miles. It is exactly what he says....You need to pull the spider and shim out those plastic...
We wired a VDO tach to an rx one day (03) for testing. I wasn't referring to power,I was referring to tach pulse. The only place we could get consistent tach pulse was from the dominant cylinder, which is #4. Maybe you can get it somewhere else,I'm just telling you what we did.
