How much hp can a Fully modded RX-1 produce without NOS or Turbo.

Trail form? 175 hp on 93 octane. Talk to "Dynoray" on here.

Full race version on Race fuel for Oval Racing..... I heard Todd Kricki (Spelling) RX-1 was pulling 195hp.

Trail version. Like I said they trail rode it on 93 octane.

I rode one last year and had a lot of fun. It is better hp/dollar with a turbo than it is this way,...but it is a lot of fun when they ask you at the end of the lake.."is there a turbo on that one???...or what kind of turbo is that one???"

I agree. Better value if you install turbo or sc. If you want a stealth sled get a front mount turbo or SC with a stock exaust.

Didn't Freddie's dyno testing for the ECP kit show 162HP?

Not with a stock engine. Mild cylinder head porting and stock degree'd cams, raise compression slightly, and advance timing a bit makes 147 to 151 HP on pump fuel.

I have done aftermarket cams, a lot more cylinder head porting and advance timing more to make between 165 to 170 on pump fuel without re-ringing. Re-ringed and they make 174 to 178 on pump fuel.

Full blown "race only" engines make 190 to 202 HP on race fuel. These engines have very stout cams and high compression pistons on the stock bore and are VERY expensive to build!

When you say Advance Timing, do you mean you clicked the timing chain up one notch to the second mark on the cam and got the extra horse power?

I'm thinking about doing the same but a little worried about the extra heat generation...

Porting, polishing and the ECP + Evac kit already have me 5 lengths ahead of a stock RX-1 in 1000 ft, and just barely beating a stock MachZ 1000. :)
