Tough to do by yourself but I have just dragged them up the ramp, works great with a buddy. Not sure of faster way than block and tackle , come alongs are strong but SLOW. Boat winches are available and once bolted in will do the trick
I agree with 20/80 its all about EASY / Quick so any lock - when NOT towing works for me- I paid most for a lock I had to cut off after towing and Ill tell you a cut off wheel makes quick work of even a good lock. I mean < 15 seconds. After that I just buy cheap locks knowing if they come...
The original Tri hub had NO WHEELS outside the skid. Many added out side wheels called a 4th wheel kit. The Tri hub in the center was a supposed improvement over Cats tradition of two center wheels- ONLY.
Originally did not have replaceable bearing so had reported catastrophic trip...
Agree with Steiner. On my APEX I call it the 1 cheek ride......meaning to push it I slide my butt to the inside and have just 1 cheek on the seat.

He is correct. Might want to consider turning north at Duluth MN and going up the North shore trail toward Grand Marais MN even to Grand Portage as those trails are much more like Michigan, less road crossings more wilderness. My 2 cents
Wow sounds fun.
Several of us TYers did a 2000 mile 6 day trip over a decade ago....the week of the Canadian hosting of the Winter Olympics .......ORR, MN => Canada/ both Ontario and Manitoba up to Sioux Lookout back through Angle Inlet, MN, Baudette, MN and back to ORR.
We needed the repair...
Hopefully you can call the dealor and arrange an appointment for your repair on your next trip up with minimal delay. As the guys have said, popping out of or ‘between’ gears is almost certainly the issue and ‘they put the chain case back to together’ so they can adjust it. HUGE hassle I am...
