I’ve never had much luck with the vent line pressurizing but have had very good success using a spray bottle&after removing the airbox lid spray fresh fuel in all of the carb throats&it should take right off

I just bought one from Kurt at Liftasled definetly still available.i bought direct as I didn’t see them on whiplash site anymore&just wanted to make sure to get one,very nice to deal with

Probably arm pressure on it,just unbolt it&remove it to see what’s worn on that end

It’s that time of year I ordered a liftasled last thursday&hope to see it Tuesday I can’t wait as it will be immediately put to use

Yeah don’t drive it with it worn like that,if you wreck the control rod it’s about $150 plus for a used one!!you can remove it altogether but won’t have any ski pressure

Yeah some do,my sled didn’t really work/start that way.best way I’ve found after my sled has sat along time is to remove the airbox cover&spray fuel in carb throats with an old windex bottle etc mine fires right up this way

Just a fuel vent/vapor hose ,the spring is for abrasion resistance&to prevent kinking

no they don’t have a lot of travel anyway but they play a very important role of transfer in the mono skid

Do you need dimensions for all of the control arm&spindle bushings?

You can do it with an arbor press or vise(may need to use a shallow socket depending on size of vice)also there are 2 small shaft seals on either side of bearing that should be replaced.can press in or use a bushing/seal driver set

Agree with ramsomair your needle bearing is probably 100% gone with that much movement,I had to change these on mine(be very careful installing new as the oem bearings are a plastic cage&pretty easy to damage

No problem,also if it was me&since the fuel system was drained I would not take the rack of carbs off the sled,just unhook the airbox,carb boots etc&flip over&remove bowls ( one at a time)usually pilot jets get plugged..I just dont think they will be bad enough to warrant removal from machine&a...

The fuel pumps are mikuni brand,the part # for mikuni kit is#mk-df525-31 this only does 1 pump so you would need 2,these pumps are supposedly not rebuildable&no service parts are available from yamaha but,there are several places on line that carry the mikuni brand kit,You could order the kits...

I don't know of any way to measure the positive&negative pressure on a pulse line.make sure the pulse lines are tight on the engine,no cracks&no oil in the lines.
