My friend had those angled backers on his Doo. Noisy as hell. I would get rid of them first. Are the limiter straps all the way out? New stronger front spring could be putting lots of pressure on front end of rail on acceleration causing vibrations?
Back off your center spring preload 1 turn at a time until you like the ski pressure. You could also increase your front ski spring preload slightly. Third you could suck up your limiter strap 1 hole.
That looks like our beautiful GSL. I was out there between the Edinburg Marina and the point yesterday. Took a quick 100mph pull for my crack fix and then putted around with my daughter on her red 09 Phazer. Just enough snow. I was also lucky enough to put almost 200 miles on with some friends...
Yes, you have no adjustment left. It will be very tight till you can get the adjustment back. Machining or taking out washer and circlip will have the same effect. The washer is 1mm and the circlip is 1.5 mm I believe.
Get the track in the air and see if track spins at idle when belt is warm. If it does it is too tight. Take out shims till the track stops spinning. Also did you cut your aluminum spacer when you machined your clutch? If not you won’t be able to adjust deflection correctly. It needs to be cut...
Last year my Powertrail Stock Muffler sled would pull my friend’s Hurricane 205 with equal studs on good hard pack. We would launch pretty close and by maybe 300 hundred feet I would be pulling him. The further we went the further ahead I pulled. This year he went with the riot 225 kit and I...
Cat 2704-229 160/260 is working great for me this year.I am 250 suited up. Less bottoming and more transfer with great handling. Just don’t preload it too much. I am at 3 turns from snug. Shout out to Cannondale also for revalving and refreshing my rear shocks. The sled has much more bottom...
I replaced the stock ones with @ 2k miles but still had some wear left. Duponts have over 1.5 k now and show very little wear. I did it for piece of mind. One less thing to worry about on those low snow roads, lakes, trails.
In normal conditions mine runs between 167-172. Not sure about the thermostat opening temp but I would guess it opens about 170. Wonder if a cooler thermostat would help power?
New slides, bearings, front spring and a refresh and revalve for my shocks. Thanks cannondale for your quick, professional reasonably priced service. What a PITA the suspension is to install! Comes out in 5 min took me 2 hours to get it back in. The front arm is a bitch to get hooked in while...
I just did mine. I took the circlip off first and popped the wheel off the bearing. Then I used a cheap 2 claw bearing puller to pop the bearing off. The clip can be a bit tricky being it is on the inside.
I ran 0-20 redline in my Apex for years. It ran great and never any problems. Not so sure about running it in a turbo Sidewinder engine though. Most turbo auto manufacturers use 5-30 or 0-40 for their higher film strength. My Ford eco boost truck specs 5-30 and not 0-20 like the non turbo engines.
